What do you think of Nina?

I’ve only met one person with this name before and she was the most adorable little girl; I think it’s classy, neither old-fashioned nor new-fangled and perfectly lovely, short and sassy!

What do you think of when you hear [name]Nina[/name]? What middle names would you put with it? Was it ever on your list?

I love it and would have used it for our daughter if my husband had liked it. I agree with your description.

I knew a lovely black haired [name]Nina[/name], who had two sisters called [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Freya[/name].
A thought they were a great trio.
[name]Nina[/name] to me sounds like a girl with flare, a bit of an enigma, maybe someone a little spunky!

I never really liked this name until I finally met a [name]Nina[/name], who was exactly what you described. She completely turned the perception around and now I love the name. I still can’t help feeling like it’s a nickname for something, though what I do not know.

A very good friend of mine is [name]Yanina[/name] nn [name]Nina[/name]

I really love this name! It’s not something I would go for in real life because I prefer long names but I completely agree with your description and I would be thrilled to meet a little [name]Nina[/name]! I have only ever met one who was much older than me so it’s definitely an underused gem!

I really like [name]Nina[/name], except that my main association is my Aunt and she’s not the nicest person :? , although the woman she was named after (my great great aunt) is pretty fabulous, she’s in her 70’s. My Aunt’s name is [name]Nina[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and she is in her 50’s.

I would pair [name]Nina[/name] with:

[name]Nina[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Callisto[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Coraline[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Nina[/name] [name]Wren[/name]

Oh, I adore [name]Nina[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name]!

I guess I am the only one having problems with this, but for me it depends on how you pronounce it.

I’ve known one older woman name [name]Nina[/name] pronounced NIE-nah, and one girl about my age who pronounced it NEE-nah.

I’ve always favored the NIE-nah pronunciation, and think it’s a very lovely name. NEE-nah on the other hand is a little cutesy.

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Nina[/name].

I knew a [name]Nina[/name] growing up. She’s probably around 21 now. I think the name is as you describe it, although I prefer [name]Mina[/name]. I don’t know where you live but the one issue I’ve noticed that comes up is if you live near a Hispanic community. It’s the word for girl and isn’t said the same way…it can be hard for some people to remember how to say it.

I knew a [name]Nina[/name] when I was quite young. She was a nice girl and so I have fond memories of that name.

I like [name]Nina[/name] (pn nee-na). I think [name]Nina[/name] [name]Simone[/name] sounds great. So does [name]Nina[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]!

You know [name]Nina[/name] [name]Simone[/name] is a very famous singer/musician, right? I mean if you love her it’s a nice tribute but if you don’t then I wouldn’t.

Haha! Oops, i was thinking the singer was [name]Eva[/name] [name]Simone[/name] when I typed that! Yeah, definitely wouldn’t go with [name]Nina[/name] [name]Simone[/name] then!!

[name]Love[/name]!
