Here are the names of the most prominent UConn men’s players in basketball. I’m posting them because I find them interesting and unusual.

[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_m]Tarris[/name_m]
[name_m]Braylon[/name_m]
[name_m]Eric[/name_m]
[name_m]Jaylin[/name_m]

[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
[name_m]Alec[/name_m]

[name_m]Uros[/name_m]
I love that there are guys named [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] (Solo), [name_m]Silas[/name_m], and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] on the team. Last year we also had a [name_m]Samson[/name_m].

[name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m], and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] all appear on my list, so obviously I love those! [name_m]Tarris[/name_m] is interesting – sort of like a quirky alternative to the already-quirky [name_m]Harris[/name_m]? Rrezon is very intriguing, though not one I enjoy personally. I can’t find much information on it via a Google search, but I wonder if it comes from his European roots?

[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] (Solo) is incredibly cool. A bit too biblical for me personally, but I love to see it for others.
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] is gorgeous. On my own list.
It’s interesting to see the [name_m]Jaylin[/name_m], [name_m]Braylon[/name_m], [name_m]Jayden[/name_m] cohort growing up, because I think there was a time I thought they would be eternal kid names. But they do seem more adult now that the older [name_m]Jayden[/name_m] cohort is hitting twenty.
I’m curious whether [name_m]Alec[/name_m] and [name_m]Alex[/name_m] are both Alexanders. I like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], but to be honest - and this might just be me knowing a lot of transmasc guys called [name_m]Alex[/name_m] - I feel like the [name_m]Alex[/name_m] nicknames are maybe ready for a rest. I’d love to see [name_f]Sasha[/name_f] come back for boys.

[name_m]Alex[/name_m] is definitely [name_m]Alex[/name_m]. His dad is [name_m]Alexi[/name_m].
I don’t know about [name_m]Alec[/name_m], but could look him up. He’s a bench player for UConn. I prefer [name_m]Alec[/name_m] to [name_m]Alex[/name_m], and I prefer [name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. I also think [name_m]Sandy[/name_m] is a great nn for the [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] names.
Rrezon and [name_m]Uros[/name_m] are the only ones that would surprise me to hear where I live.

I’ve got into [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] as of recent, but agree with another user that it’s too religious for me. [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] same, but is warm to me due to a sweet little boy I knew. [name_m]Silas[/name_m] I would love to love but sounds like something in Lithuanian I can’t get passed. [name_m]Tarris[/name_m] is really interesting! I really like it.
[name_m]Not[/name_m] a fan of [name_m]Braylon[/name_m], [name_m]Jaylin[/name_m], [name_m]Jayden[/name_m], [name_m]Alec[/name_m], [name_m]Dwayne[/name_m], [name_m]Rezon[/name_m], and [name_m]Uros[/name_m]. [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] I’m half and half on.
