What do you think of the middle name, [name]Rogue[/name]? I’d like to honor my dad, [name]Roger[/name], with a modern take on his name. [name]MIL[/name] is not happy with the name [name]Rogue[/name] as she says the dictionary describes it as an unprincipled man. I’m thinking of the first name [name]Trevor[/name], but not totally sold on it. Our first son’s name is [name]Devin[/name] [name]Christopher[/name] and his little brother is due very soon. I’d appreciate any ideas on first names and your thoughts on the middle.
First though, was “he’s/she’s gone rogue.” Like someone going off the grid. Then, second thought was my former car, a [name]Nissan[/name] [name]Rogue[/name].
Nerd alert: I think of [name]Rogue[/name] Squadron from [name]Star[/name] Wars.
But my second association is a man who has a reputation as a rascal or is defiant/a rebel. Not that that’s necessarily bad…“charming” often precedes the “rogue”.
X-Men! [name]Rogue[/name] in the middle is no big deal to me. I might find it a bit odd as a first, but I’d get used to it. [name]Rodge[/name] is pretty cool though, too.
Oh, and sackofnachos, love the nerd alert. My husband would be on board with that reference
This has been super helpful! I just checked with my husband and he’s on board with [name]Rutger[/name] as a middle name. Now, if we could only decide 100% on the first name! Any suggestions on what goes well with ----[name]Rutger[/name] Walz? And his brother’s name of [name]Devin[/name]?
My first thought was the character from X-Men, and then I thought of the dictionary definition, a sort of scoundrel. I like [name]Rutger[/name] much better!
[name]Do[/name] not like [name]Rutger[/name], [name]Rogue[/name] is a 100x better [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Roderick[/name] is more attractive than [name]Rutger[/name] and is a similar style to [name]Christopher[/name]. There’s also [name]Dodge[/name], [name]Hodge[/name], [name]Ridge[/name]
I like [name]Roderick[/name] or [name]Roger[/name] better than either [name]Rutger[/name] or [name]Rogue[/name]. [name]Rogue[/name] to me says “sexy but obnoxious”.
