Recently I read an old west book and the dad’s name was Edrith. Ever since seeing that name, I’ve had a crush on it. What do you all think about it? Also, how would you pronounce it?
- Ee-drith
- Ay-drith
- Either could work
- Other (let me know in a comment)

I instinctively pronounced it “EH-drith” the “Ed” sounding like “Edison”

I would pronounce it the same as @the_common_fool — “EH-drith”

I’d probably also instinctively go EH-drith, however I wouldn’t be surprised by EE-drith.
I’d probably pronounce it ed-rith or ee-drith
Instinctively, I would think it was pronounced EH-drith / ED-rith which is weird because [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is obviously a very familar name and that’s pronounced EE-dith. So, I think you’re safe but you may just have to correct some people.
I’d say eh-drith, then ay-drith, then ee-drith !!
