I was just watching my two eldest daughters (4 & 6) play with their dolls and the huge wealth of names that come from our own childrens’ toys, be it dolls or stuffed animals, struck me. In our house we have named our dolls (and with 6 little girls we have A LOT of dolls!):
[name]Both[/name] of my eldest DD (who are also 6&4) dont play with dolls to much, but they both each have a stuffed animal they are glued to
My 6 yr. old DD’s stuffed rabbits name is Paprika (have no clue why lol)
4 yr old DD’s stuffed pink duck is named [name]Lou[/name]-[name]Anne[/name], a very popular name in the area of [name]Paris[/name] we live in. We hear it all the time actually, which is why she probably thought to name her that.
My DDs’ other toys seem to get a diffrent name every week lol nothing seems to stick. Some of the diffrent names I have heard are [name]Anne[/name], [name]Comet[/name], Berangaria, [name]Lulu[/name], & Majori.
My son will be 4 this summer and seems to share my love of names already! He’s been naming his stuffed animals for about two years, though a few never get named (he says he can’t find one that fits). My favorites that he’s come up with:

I have a six year old daughter who has too many stuffed animals to count, i’ll stick to the few i know by heart.

She has several animals from Build-a-bear workshop
[name]Ariel[/name]-a bear(named after the little mermaid)
[name]Angel[/name]-another bear(not sure about where this name came from)
[name]Alexis[/name] [name]Kate[/name]-a bear(we were big into jon & [name]Kate[/name] plus 8 at the time)
[name]Angelina[/name]-a bear (named after angelina ballerina)
[name]Casey[/name]-a dog(named for [name]Casey[/name] [name]Jones[/name] from the Ninja Turtles)
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Daisy[/name]-a bear(caroline is after one of her school friends,daisy she just liked)
Scooter-a bunny (this was a gift for her first easter,the name just popped up in my head as we were heading to the mall)
Then she has Two “adopted” build a bear animals(one is from the goodwill store and the other is from a flea market)
Brownie-a bear (named because he’s brown)
[name]Jasmine[/name]-a dog(named because she is wearing an outfit similar to what princess jasmine wore in the aladdin movie)
I don’t have any children, but when I was younger I had dolls/teddies with these names :

My daughter absolutely adores dolls and stuffed animals, so all her relatives know what to get for presents! So, there are many that she doesn’t love as much that go unnamed, but she does have a select few that she keeps on her bed that she LOVES! (and names)
BonBon - a turtle she got from a build-a-bear type store in Montreal
[name]Joe[/name] - a brown bear from build-a-bear
[name]Laney[/name] [name]Bay[/name] - a pink and white cow (her favorite!), I have no idea where she got this name. I just asked her what she named her cow after she got it, and she sort of squeaked, “[name]Laney[/name] [name]Bay[/name]!”
[name]Brookie[/name] - a big-ish labrador that she pretends is a real dog (she even has a collar and dog dishes for it - so cute!!), not sure how she spells the name, she just always calls it ‘[name]Brookie[/name]’, never ‘[name]Brooke[/name]’
Cheerio [name]Bear[/name] - a simple light brown bear
[name]Lulu[/name] [name]Cat[/name] - a fluffy white cat she claims looks ‘just like her’ if she were a cat ([name]Lulu[/name] is her daddy’s nickname for her)
[name]Abby[/name] and [name]Mike[/name] - a sister-brother doll pair who she never separates
[name]Hally[/name] - a doll that she pretends is her baby
When out and about, she is never without [name]Laney[/name] [name]Bay[/name]. At home, she’s usually toting [name]Hally[/name] in a baby sling and dragging [name]Brookie[/name] by her leash, pretending to be ‘mommy’ (me!).
I love threads where you can just gush about your kids It makes my day.
