What does the name Nina make you think of?

I am loving the name [name]Nina[/name] for my baby girl, but I don’t want to give her a name that everybody else doesn’t like (and that she eventually doesn’t like either), and I’m worried that [name]Nina[/name] may be one of those names. What are your honest opinions on the name? Thanks!

It will always remind me of the character [name]Nina[/name] from “[name]Just[/name] Shoot Me”. I seriously doubt anyone else will have that association!

I like the name [name]Nina[/name]. I think it’s cute for a little girl but works for an adult as well

I like it. [name]Nina[/name] is sweet, airy, pretty, simple, and timeless to me.

I love [name]Nina[/name]! I have a double association: the cutest little kindergarten girl I had in my art class once and [name]Nina[/name] from “The [name]Seagull[/name]”.

It reminds me of the nina, the pinta, and the santa maria
And also a very cute girl at my church.

Most berries love this one, but I really dislike [name]Nina[/name]. It seems frumpy and unattractive.

My great-aunt is called [name]Nina[/name], short for [name]Janina[/name]. I really like it.

I love the name [name]Nina[/name]! I’ve known two [name]Nina[/name]'s, and they were both very intelligent, artistic, kind, and free-spirited, so the name has those associations for me  I think it’s a great choice!

I have a cousin [name]Nina[/name], so I think I picture her younger, a very pretty, quiet girl growing up on a farm.

I went to school with a [name]Nina[/name] for a while. She was quite tomboyish, but fun. She is the only [name]Nina[/name] I have known outside of the name being used on tv and movies.

I have known one [name]Nina[/name] - amazing woman. She pronounced her name like Nigh-na rather than Nee-na.

I like it! [name]Nina[/name] has a soft, delicate feel to me. I love its Russian history.

I love that name! Works for all types of people/.

To me it’s a perfect name…easy to pronounce in most cultures, rather timeless and works well on a baby all the way up to an older woman…I can picture a punk rocker or a lawyer called [name]Nina[/name]. I love it!

I definitely don’t care for the name. I cannot picture it on a small child. I prefer [name]Nora[/name] instead

This is what it reminds me of, too!

I am a huge [name]Natalie[/name] Portman fan, and [name]Nina[/name] is the name of her character from [name]Black[/name] Swan, so it definitely reminds me of that. That being said, I do think it is a beautiful, delicate name and very pretty.

I think it is a lovely, classy name. I think of a ballerina.

Thanks SO much for all of the responses! I love it too and I think that I will go with it
