We love [name]Grey[/name] but aren’t sold on [name]Greyson[/name]. Grayer is a bit more intriguing but still not quite IT for us.
Any other names [name]Grey[/name] can be a nickname for?

When I told my mother I liked the name [name]Graham[/name] (or Greame if you like), she said you could call him [name]Gray[/name] or [name]Grey[/name].
[name]Greydon[/name]
you could use grey as a mn and just use it as a nn for him.
We’ve thought about this, but my sister is [name]Deborah[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and no one has called her [name]Deborah[/name] [name]EVER[/name] in her life. She hates having to deal with constantly explaining and plans to just change her name to the other way around when she gets married and is changing it anyway.
[name]Grayson[/name]
[name]Graydon[/name]
[name]Grady[/name]
[name]How[/name] about [name]Grady[/name] nn [name]Gray[/name]? Is it possible to just use [name]Grey[/name]/[name]Gray[/name] alone? I know a man named [name]Grey[/name] and it fits him well.
Our last name is very short (one syllable, three letters) so I think a longer name sounds better with it.
Hmm… What about [name]Gregory[/name]?
Somebody mentioned [name]Graham[/name]. It can be pronounced [name]Gray[/name]-um.
[name]Ingram[/name]?
Hmmm…these might be a little out there for you, but you may like them.
[name]Dougray[/name]
Graden
Greig
Nameberry has 77 boys names that start with GR. I think you could use the nn [name]Grey[/name] with any of them, really.
[name]Granger[/name] is a fun name! but i agree with the post above me - check out those 77 names name berry has listed. it’s a great idea!
Greythorn? (surname as first name)
Though I am with those that say [name]Grey[/name] works as a name on its own.
I think [name]Gregory[/name] nn [name]Grey[/name] is so cool and unexpected! While [name]Greg[/name] is a little boring, I really like the full name [name]Gregory[/name]. You don’t hear it much lately, yet it doesn’t sound dated. The nn [name]Grey[/name] makes it even better!
I think [name]Greydon[/name]/[name]Graydon[/name] is the best choice.
There’s also [name]Gregor[/name] or [name]Graeme[/name]…
My son’s name is [name]Graydon[/name] - he is still a wee one and we call him [name]Baby[/name] [name]Gray[/name]. [name]Graydon[/name] was my great-uncle’s name, so it was an easy pick. I don’t think he will go by [name]Graydon[/name] often, but I think it will serve him well as an adult for when he wants to be taken seriously.
My relatives have the traditional pass down of DeGray in their names. Which of couse gray is the only part of the name really said…and it’s unique!
I vote for [name]Grey[/name] alone, even with a one syllable last name.
My brother’s name is [name]Graham[/name] and we called him [name]Gray[/name] sometimes. My dad also went by [name]Gray[/name] ([name]Graham[/name] was his middle name). My brother said it was kind of hard to have his name as a kid because everyone called him [name]Graham[/name] cracker, but he likes it now because it’s unusual.
