What is a name you love but would never use

I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] but my spouse would never go for them! Which I’m devastated about because I love them. I have considered using a [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] alternative like [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] , [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] , [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is one of my favourite combos!

[name_f]Siddalee[/name_f] is another name I absolutely love but my spouse vetoed!

A lot of greate Br- names like [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] and [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] because I find them too similar to my name.

Also Ar- names for being too similar to my son’s name (so no [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] or [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f] unless it’s in the middle spot.)

[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] for sounding too much like my sister’s name, [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f].

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f], [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f], [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], or [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] because we already used [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] because it’s just too popular, I know multiple little Penelopes in my social circle and hear it on the playground constantly.

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] because I wanted to go with nickname [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] but my good friend has a daughter named [name_u]Pepper[/name_u] and I found the two too easily confused when hollered at a group of kids. :joy:
Maybe if I went with [name_f]Pippy[/name_f] instead? But still a little close for my liking.

[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] because my friend had a girl first and named her [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] lol.

[name_f]Fia[/name_f] - it rhymes with my name.

[name_f]Rhea[/name_f], [name_u]Lark[/name_u] and Kit; all for the same reason, while they’re all beautiful names the language barrier would cause confusion. (and my grandma would probably mutter something about what odd names todays youth give their children.)

[name_f]Saoirse[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], [name_f]Alethea[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]- Pronunciation would be an issue
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]- my cousin’s name, way too popular
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]- Variation of [name_f]Frances[/name_f], have a very negative association with a [name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- Too popular for first names, would consider them as middle names

Don’t mind me, just hovering around looking out for new character names here…

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]

Would love to use it but we’re set on using [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] one day

[name_f]Eleonora[/name_f] (said El-lay-oh-nora). It’s so beautiful, but I’m not Italian, and I think it would seem kind of strange.

[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] - with the [name_f]Line[/name_f] or [name_u]Laine[/name_u] pronunciation, but I am related to too many Madelyn’s of various spelling
[name_f]Edelweiss[/name_f] - too out there
[name_f]Mercy[/name_f] - just a little too virtue namey
[name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] - rhymes with my name, [name_f]Polly[/name_f] was my dog, [name_u]Anne[/name_u] is a cousin, the movie [name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] may be an annoying connection
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f] - doesn’t go with my other names
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], - used or close to a name used by family members

This name is Welsh and way way back in my family tree. I don’t know how it is pronounced. Maybe some kind Welsh person can help with thus. It is very out there, but I do like it.
