What is the most beautiful name to you? Is there a reason why or do you just love the name?

To me, the most beautiful name is [name]Rosalind[/name]. I think it is absolutely stunning, but a natural and quiet kind of beauty. I love its history, its meaning, its sound. Second place would go to [name]Gwendolen[/name], third place to [name]Callista[/name].

My husband’s grandmother’s name was Maevara. I love this name, and I have not been able to find it online at all ANYWHERE. She was an immigrant from either [name]Ireland[/name] or Hungary–I can’t remember right now exactly, I will get back to you on this–but when I heard her name I was floored. Beautiful. I would never use it though…it sounds so princessy and almost made up. But I looooooooooooove it.

Such a difficult decision, I really can’t decide. If I were to go on beauty alone, I would probably judge the name on how it rolls off the tongue. Its funny how similar the name is to the post above, but [name]Maeva[/name] is the most beautiful to me, having the ‘v’ in it and an ‘a’ ending really makes it even more beautiful to me. Also something about it being uncomplicated gives it beauty as well. It sounds velvety and also silky at the same time.

[name]Clemency[/name] (very very closely followed by [name]Liberty[/name], [name]Domino[/name] & [name]Vesper[/name]). I love the sound of it, the calmness & poise. It reminds me of water and tress and grass, and chiffon. It’s the most stunning name I’ve ever heard. [name]Liberty[/name] gives me the same feeling, but more air and mountains and birds. [name]Domino[/name] and [name]Vesper[/name] are darker, I imagine starlit skies and velvet and lace, but still lots of nature. I need to picture these kinds of things if I’m going to fall in love with a name.

  1. [name]Serenity[/name] - love the meaning, the sound of it and the way it looks written down
  2. [name]Elowen[/name] - So pretty and feminine. Sounds fantastical but has a grounded/earthly meaning
  3. [name]Elena[/name]/Allaina - I just love the sound of it.

[name]Maeve[/name] has been my favorite for years. So gorgeuos, rich, distinct sound. I absolutely love it.
[name]Raffaela[/name] is high on my favorites list. Stunning, unexpected, a little exotic, lush, romantic, feminine. I [name]ADORE[/name] the look and feel and musical, angelic sound of this name!
