I haven’t the least idea why, but probably [name_f]Boheme[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f].
[name_u]Nikita[/name_u]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Giada[/name_f]
[name_f]Evita[/name_f]
[name_f]Jewel[/name_f]
You know [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] has more than one meaning, right? It’s also a Japanese fashion, and to me it’s very cutesy. [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] fashion has lots of frills
For me, [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is the sexiest name ever. One of my all time favorites.
Also [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], and anything exotic! Haha
I think of
[name_f]Raquel[/name_f]
[name_f]Francine[/name_f]
[name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f]
[name_f]Bonita[/name_f]
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Collette[/name_f]
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelica[/name_f] - movie references, I think. None of real life Angelicas I know evoke that image.
[name_f]Angelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Jezebel[/name_f] - currently on my maybe list.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Morgana[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Arianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f]
[name_f]Noor[/name_f]
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
Vianca
[name_m]Fox[/name_m] used to be one of my top names for a girl but it has been deemed way too sexy by family & friends.
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] & [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] have also been called sexy and I don’t understand why
When I think sexy…[name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f], & [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] first come to mind. Then more exotica like
[name_f]Venus[/name_f]
[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_f]Stefania[/name_f]
[name_f]Francine[/name_f]
[name_f]Monique[/name_f]
[name_f]Sofia[/name_f]
[name_f]Babette[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelique[/name_f]
[name_f]Chanel[/name_f]
[name_f]Athena[/name_f]
[name_f]Vienna[/name_f]
I find the name [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] to be very sexy.
I usually think of model’s names/‘bad girl’ names:
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]/[name_f]Roxana[/name_f]
[name_f]Jordana[/name_f]
[name_f]Meghan[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Kendra[/name_f]
[name_f]Tatiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Irina[/name_f]
[name_f]Raquel[/name_f]
[name_f]Kasia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lara[/name_f]
[name_f]Milana[/name_f]
[name_f]Natasha[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Desiree[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_u]Dominique[/name_u]
[name_f]Jezebel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lolita[/name_f]
[name_f]Pandora[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f]
[name_f]Yasmine[/name_f]
[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_f]Amber[/name_f]
I agree with the classic exotic/femme fatale type names like:
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f]
[name_f]Clio[/name_f]
[name_f]Venus[/name_f]
[name_f]Jade[/name_f]
[name_f]Severine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
[name_f]Circe[/name_f] or [name_f]Cece[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] (Lots of [name_m]Bond[/name_m] Girl names fit this category)
All of these names have a sexy “feel”, but I [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] takes the top spot for me. In my opinion, names like [name_f]Jezebel[/name_f] or [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] are too literal, actually being the name of a famous sexualized character or figure.
For me as a creative writer the more exotic, mythological and superfluous names sound sexy.
[name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f]
[name_f]Wisteria[/name_f]
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Francina[/name_f]
[name_f]Orianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_f]Xenia[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Justine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_u]Simone[/name_u]
Names with a disciplined beauty that aren’t trying too hard are sexy.
On the other end of the spectrum, I find some girly vintage names sexy: [name_f]Bette[/name_f], [name_f]Ginger[/name_f], [name_f]Lois[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]…
[name_f]Desiree[/name_f], fo shoh.
Well, in my opinion that doesn’t really matter. To me, Nabokov’s [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] has given the name an unpleasant undertone no matter what. Heavy bad associations often overpower potentially decent associations for me. I have a really interesting and seemingly quite brilliant ancestor named [name_m]Adolphe[/name_m] but you still wouldn’t find me trying to like the name since a certain [name_m]German[/name_m] dictator has given it an severely revolting connotation. No matter how many meanings [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] might have, you will never not have me think of a man raping a twelve-year-old girl.
Re: [name_f]Lolita[/name_f]…The above post by shivi saddens me. I have a good friend with the name [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] that is a wonderful and blessed member of the community. Everyone calls her [name_f]Lollie[/name_f], but knows her given name is [name_f]Lolita[/name_f]. I know for a fact that her neice was given her name as well, and she is the Godmother. I have never, ever thought of this reference in regard to her and I’m sure that no one else has either. I believe this horrid reference is in shivi’s mind set and she can’t see it any other way. I really hope and pray that others can see past a horrid reference in the case of a child having a negative connotation connected to their name. Perhaps some parents who are not obsessed with names like us berries just really loved the name…Perhaps they were not people who always see the glass half empty and just loved the sound of the name, or even thought it had a lot of sexappeal.
I think [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] is very sexy sounding. Also:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Selene[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]/[name_f]Isidora[/name_f]
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]/[name_f]Leila[/name_f]
[name_f]Colette[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Simona[/name_f]
[name_f]Selina[/name_f]
[name_f]Circe[/name_f]
[name_f]Cerelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sistine[/name_f]
[name_f]Salome[/name_f]
[name_f]Chantal[/name_f]
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
And yes, [name_f]Lolita[/name_f], although I agree with Shiv, [name_f]Dolores[/name_f]/[name_f]Lolita[/name_f] is a world recognized namesake and very hard to not think of. The book is one of the best pieces of lit created, and definitely tops Japanese fashion that most of the planet isn’t aware of. I’d still use it, but that’s for the sake of it being a lit name and not because I can look past the association.
I forgot to list [name_f]Damara[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f]. They scream femme fatale to me.
First of all, Shivi? Who is Shivi?
Secondly, as @cristinamariane so very well said, Nabokov’s [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] is one of the best literate pieces ever written, it’s world famous. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one getting associations to [name_m]Humbert[/name_m]'s obsession with [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] [name_m]Haze[/name_m]. And in regards to me not being able to see the name in any other way, isn’t that EXACTLY what I wrote in my post just above yours? “Heavy bad associations often overpower potentially decent associations for me”.
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] or [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]
I’m so surprised by many of these names!
