For example
In my family 3 of the 4 names end in N
It was kinda random lol, but my mom chose names out of a baby book for us
We (my sister and I) both have nature and color names. Accidental but strong theme!
Really all over the place and no theme tbh. But in the end everyone’s (full) names are tied together somehow
I am [name_m]Bryan[/name_m] (dad’s middle), and my siblings are [name_f]Brianna[/name_f] (her father’s name is Brian), C@ity (just a name they liked), Br@yton (incorporates the letters of Bryan), [name_m]Gage[/name_m] (just a name they liked), and [name_u]Lexi[/name_u] (just a name they liked). [censoring the rarer names]
Gage’s middle name is similar to the name [name_m]Brian[/name_m], while C@ity’s is my mother’s middle name and Lexi’s is a portmanteau of the Br- from all of our names and C@ity/my mother’s middle name.
Basically, it’s complicated.
No theme–it’s the most all-over the place set ever. But surprisingly, all our names sound pretty good together, even though they don’t match at all! A lot of people think my parents were going for a biblical theme, despite the fact that 3/6 of our names aren’t biblical??
More of a random thing I noticed when naming my daughter but my grandmother, my mother, and my name all end in an N sound. Of course I messed it up and my daughter doesn’t follow the pattern
[name_f]My[/name_f] brother and I both have the middle names of our parents as middle names and both of our names are very common (top 10 of the years we were born) where we’re from (Spanish speaking country) also their both very classic and timeless names.
We don’t have one.
I’ve found a lot of weird name coincidences in my family… this one is probably the most themed:
Both my dad’s and his brother’s names end with N and they both have sons whose names end with the letter N. Plus, that same brother’s wife and daughter have names ending in N!
We all share a parent’s initial - not an intentional theme but it’s what people notice
All of us have 4 letters, all my close bio aunts and uncles have J names
-an endings for me, my siblings, and two of my cousins.
M names.
Biblical firsts, and all our middles start with the same letter!
uhhh. all my siblings’ names either start with J or A. and all our middle names start with a J or an A. three of my siblings have names that honor my parents.
out of the children, me and my sister each have names that are more uncommon but don’t sound like they’re made up (mine hasn’t been in the us top 1000 since the 40s i think and my sister’s i think ranks in the 700s somewhere)
It wasn’t planned, but everyone has a diagraph in their first name (ch, th, ph, etc.)
[name_f]My[/name_f] mom went for classic names and by coincidence we all share an initial with a parent! I would put my name and my sister’s in an Old Hollywood theme and my brother’s name is biblical. He was actually given that name because my dad’s is also biblical (the two people were spies/messengers in the Bible story)
[name_f]My[/name_f] sister and I’s names both start with the letter M, as well as being family names.
[name_f]My[/name_f] mom inadvertently gave us girls names that end in -a. It’s a common enough ending for girl names but still. [name_f]My[/name_f] brother was named after our dad. Come to think of it, his name does actually follow a pattern in that the firstborn sons on both sides of my family are named after their fathers (either first or middle name). Again, common enough…
