[name]Every[/name] time I see the names [name]Neveah[/name] or [name]Nevaeh[/name] I get the urge to gauge my eyes out with a rusty spoon.

I agree, and also gauge out the eyes of the stupid parents who named their kid [name]Neveah[/name].

At least they can’t claim that it’s “[name]Heaven[/name] backwards”! But [name]Neveah[/name] is even uglier than the “name” [name]Nevaeh[/name].

I think [name]Nevaeh[/name] is among the worst names out there. It’s always accompanied by the “it’s heaven spelled backwards” line whenever people say it. I’ve heard of combos like [name]Nevaeh[/name] Tnes (heaven sent) that make it worse.

The worst part is when people make up meanings for [name]Nevaeh[/name], like claiming it means “butterfly”. Usually, they’ll say it’s Slavic. [name]Nevaeh[/name] is definitely not a Slavic name, although there is a similar-sounding Croatian/Serbian name, Nevena, which means “marigold”.

To put it simply, I hate the name [name]Nevaeh[/name].

Agreed. Besides wouldn’t heaven backwords be hell ? (i think someone mentioned this on another thread as well!)

[name]Just[/name] wait for this one.
Yesterday I noticed one of the little girls at daycare is Neveahya. Again, Neveahya. So not only is heaven spelled incorrectly backwards, her parents decided to add a “ya” on the end. Poor, poor child.

I agree with namelover7, blueberri, and jenn13m…

I was browsing on another website:

Also, how is [name]Nevaeh[/name] (with the ‘ae’) pronounced? Neh-vay-uh, Neh-vee-uh, Neh-vay? I’m assuming that [name]Neveah[/name] would be Neh-vee-ah…

I concur, [name]Nevaeh[/name]/[name]Neveah[/name] is terrible, not attractive, and neither a word nor a name. Please, just use [name]Heaven[/name], or [name]Celeste[/name], [name]Celestia[/name]…or “heaven” in any language!

I hear it pn “[name]Nuh[/name]-VAY-uh” around here, and spelled [name]Neveah[/name] (as we all know this is not heaven in reverse). I would be slightly less irked by [name]Nevaeh[/name] pn “[name]Nev[/name]-Ay”, but would never recommend or use it.

I hate the name [name]Nevaeh[/name], it’s so tacky.

[name]Angel[/name], [name]Heaven[/name], [name]Evangeline[/name] - or get a bible and start digging. There are plenty of other options. It’s not clever, just kind of sad.

I’m astounded by how high both spellings are on the SSA list. [name]Neveah[/name] is #959 (276 girls), and [name]Nevaeh[/name] is #34 (6,020 girls).

This is so tacky. What’s worse is that one of the most popular names for twin girls is [name]Heaven[/name] and [name]Nevaeh[/name]! I couldn’t believe it when I read that!
