I love so many
[name_f]Signe[/name_f] and [name_u]Tora[/name_u]
Iād say [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]/[name_f]Kaja[/name_f] is a Scandinavian (or Nordic) diminutive. Brynja is totally Icelandic! ![]()
Basically:
Norse = medieval names formerly used in Scandinavia, Iceland and the Faroe Islands (and parts of Finland and briefly Greenland)
Nordic = names used in Scandinavia, Iceland, Finland and the Faroe Islands
Scandinavian = names used in Denmark, [name_u]Sweden[/name_u] and Norway
I think usually people mean Nordic when they talk about these sorts of names ![]()
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] for sure, but Iām also in love with the uplifting meaning of happiness and good fortune I found for Auưur.
There are probably more, but off the top of my head, those two are the first.
Not sure which of these might count as Nordicā¦
