No way! [name]Gypsy[/name] isn’t a name.
Gypsies in Spain are not well-recieved either, so it could definitely be a problem when traveling as well as being offensive to some.
I think it looks pretty, and the sound is attractive, but it’s not a good idea for so many cultural reasons. Best for the GP list, I think.
Tbh, I think it’d be insulting really.
Only for a cat or a dog. Sorry.
I think it looks lovely to the eye, and the sound can be nice after a while but I wouldn’t use it. The history is not the best, and some may feel insulted by it.
I do like a lot of your other names. You have a nice name style.
My honest opinion: I like [name]Gypsy[/name] a lot. I like the look and sound of the name. I like the free-spirited stereotype/image that comes to mind when I hear it.
That being said, I imagine that real-life gypsies are much different than the stereotype most of us are familiar with. Since I’m not super familiar with the actual “gypsy” culture, I would be hesitant to use the name myself. Plus, I think that very few people could actually pull off the name [name]Gypsy[/name].
My Belly Dance teacher’s name is [name]Gypsy[/name]. Okay for stage, not real life. Also the fact that its the name of a marginalized ethnic group could be offensive.
