I love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]- for me, it is pretty, strong, powerful while still feminine, and familiar enough but not too common.
I really struggle to find a name that would suit a sister to [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]- I’m looking for something with the same level of spunk and sass, and which doesn’t pale next to this name.
Any suggestions at all are welcome as this has been an ongoing search! I won’t give any more guidance about style because I just want your first thoughts on what would pair well with [name_f]Saskia[/name_f].
Well, not to be biased, but I’ll suggest one of my own favorites, as [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is in my top 5: [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]. I think this name perfectly matches [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]'s spunk and joie de vivre.
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is one of my favourite names ever she’s absolutely gorgeous. My favourite pairing with her is [name_f]Leona[/name_f] (I have [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] coincidentally and [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]/[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]), I find [name_f]Leona[/name_f], whilst not as spunky, has the same feminine strength, it’s a bit slinkier and a little more romantic that sassy [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], but I find they compliment each other.
In that sibset, I also have [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f], [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Kalani[/name_u].
I know this is the girls forumn, but I have to add that I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] as a brother to [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]!
I have the same feminine but strong image of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] as you describe here It feels international, worldly and a bit artsy too. It’s unusual without being totally unheard of. These names give me the same feel… some are more familiar than others though.
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is a SUPER Dutch name to me so I am having a hard time not to pair this name with other distinctively Dutch names. But I second suggestions of [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]/[name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Anouk[/name_f].

@aliciamae_ thank you so much for your comment about [name_m]Bruno[/name_m]! I also love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] together but sometimes comments that [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] is a ‘dogs’ name puts me off!!

I have a friend called [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], she’s really fun and bubbly, I think she suits her name (and I think her sister’s called [name_f]Britta[/name_f]). Out of the suggestions you like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] go perfectly with [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] imo, and I don’t think [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] would come across many pronunciation issues (at least not in the UK). I love [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f], but I’m having a wobble because of the xenophobia similarity, although otherwise I don’t think she’s too out there. The double -ias are a little close for me, but I wouldn’t mind seeing them together. I also like the idea of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] or [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], maybe [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]?
