What name do you like on the list?

So our top names right now are:

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]

[name_f]Mia[/name_f]

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]

Which one is your favorite and is there a reason.

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] feels dated to me…like early 2000s. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] seem the most current.

I adore [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] would be a very close second

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] - Dislike.

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - Not my taste

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] - I like it

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] - one of my favourite names ever

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] - I’d avoid simply due to current popularity

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - Pretty good

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]- I don’t like unisex surnames.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]- I think it’s different! Not my style but i can understand why you like it.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]- Same as [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. [name_u]Daffy[/name_u] would be a cute nickname.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]- Very pretty name.
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]- Pretty, but I think it will date fast.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]- My favourite from your list! Such a spunky vintage name!

I adore [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] so that gets my vote but [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is unusual and very pretty.

I have a daughter named [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] that I almost named [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. Ha ha. Those are my two favorite on your list.

To me [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] is spunky and fun. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is Earthy and Warm. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is a really cute name too.

I think I remember voting on a poll of yours before =]

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is one of my top favorites, so I’d vote for that. It’s just so beautiful, plus there’s nickname possibilities.

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] is a very cute name that I like, just not as much as [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is too short for my tastes, I see it as more of a potential nickname than a full first name.

I also like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but they are not necessarily exactly my style, or names that I would ever use. There’s nothing wrong with them, just not as pretty as [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], in my eyes

I don’t full on hate [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], but I’m not too fond of the [name_m]Mack[/name_m]- part, because it makes me think of a greasy old man. Regardless, I’m not a unisex namer, so it’s not my style.

Are you or your partner leaning towards any name(s) in particular?

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] does seem dated to me…there was an early 2000s [name_f]Barbie[/name_f]-doll variant named [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], & going back even farther is [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] Phillipps, the actress from the late '70s.

I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]…it’s one of my favorite names.

I like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] as well…it sounds very British…but I don’t care for [name_u]Daffy[/name_u] as a nn.

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is lovely & has the option of lots of shorter forms for everyday use.

[name_f]Mia[/name_f]'s too short & has been very popular in the last decade.

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f], in spite of [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_m]Roberts[/name_m] using it for her daughter, still reminds me of a mid-20th-century housemaid. But I think I’m in the minority in that opinion, at least here on Nameberry.

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] or [name_f]Mia[/name_f] would be my favourite.

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is by far my favorite! I don’t know why, I just love it, haha.

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] - I actually love this for a boy. Ironically, despite its use for a girl, I have known/met more boys with the name than girls (5 boys compared to three girls), and it just doesn’t seem very attractive on a girl for me. I love [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] nn [name_m]Mac[/name_m] or [name_u]Max[/name_u], though.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - something about this has always seemed rather whiny to me, but I do see why so many love it. I wish I could. It has a ton going for it as a name.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] - one of my favorite Greek names! I know a [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] (although it’s not spelled that way), so that’s one thing that puts me off of it, but I would love to know more Daphnes–it’s a beautiful name. I think it’s my second favorite from your names.
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] - pretty name, but it’s always been way over-the-top frou-frou for me. Still a nice name with nice nns, though!
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Mia[/name_f], although I can never decide if I prefer just [name_f]Mia[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] “[name_f]Mia[/name_f]” (or even [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]/[name_f]Maddalena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. Or [name_f]Maria[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mia[/name_f]!). I need a really great combo to get me into just [name_f]Mia[/name_f], though.

I think I’d rank them [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u].

Good luck!

My favourite is [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. It seems so royal and princessy for me, with a good dosage of character. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] would be my second choice and, then, [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].

I’m a HUGE fan of the name [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is lovely.

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] seems overtly simple compared the other names on your list. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is the most elaborate one. It seems heavier than names like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. I’d drop both of these.

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] seems really different than the other names, and it isn’t as pretty as the other ones besides. But it fits a couple of the trends you like - it has a “z” sound (like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]) and ends with an “ee” sound (like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]).

The other trend you like is “ph”. I think [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] or [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] are both strong, beautiful names that are stylish and sweet, too. I recommend either one, but my personal favourite is [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]!

In order:

  1. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
  4. [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f] & [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] have to be my favourites, although [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] are lovely too!

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] were my faves!

Out of your list, my favourite is [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]!

  1. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - sounds smart and strong. Familiar so people should be able to spell it. A bird, so nature connotations.

  2. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] - similar to [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. I just like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] better.

  3. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - If not for “The Fault in Our Stars” I would like this name. It’s growing on me as long as I keep it in a vacuum and forget the book. It’s not frilly yet it’s feminine, which is good.

  4. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] - this name is too frilly for me. However, [name_f]Ana[/name_f] is a good nickname.

  5. [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] - like another poster said, this name is dated. It’s also one I’ve never really liked on girls, personally.

  6. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] - too short, too nickname-y, just no for me.

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] or [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. Yes definitely!
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is a beautiful name, used it full or offers many nnames.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is distinctive, stylish and vibrant.
For me [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is a beautiful short name for other names.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] & [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] are dated.
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]- very sadly is just so overused and still a common [name_m]Scott[/name_m] surname -so no.

I like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] from your list.
