These aren’t really NEW NEW names, but names I have a newfound interest and love for, I’ve been in the hospital for days and have taken some solice in naming the Teddy’s I’ve acquired! I’ve expanded my palette a bit for this one, but I have a giant frog with rabbit ears that I call Galantina, and an EHS bear that I have named Javienté
[name_m]Solas[/name_m]. I wanted to name a dragon I hatched on flight rising something in [name_f]Irish[/name_f], as he was born on St. Paddy’s, and came across it. It means “Light.” I love it’s similarity to [name_m]Silas[/name_m].
Katalinka[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]— rare Hungarian version of Katalin/Katherine. It feels like a mix between my username Halinka and @Katinka’s!
She’s of various Slavic origins. According to BTN, she can mean either “willow tree” or “Yahweh is gracious” depending on the language. Not sure on any exact pronunciations, but my instinctive (and favorite) pronunciation is ee-vah[name_f][/name_f].
