I’ve met quite a few little ones with the name [name_u]Logan[/name_u], and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I met a girl the other day whose name was [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]. And both my [name_m]SIL[/name_m] had little girls [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]Alysse[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u].
[name_m]Liam[/name_m]. And [name_m]Williams[/name_m] nn’ed [name_m]Liam[/name_m]. They are everywhere - I’ve run into several over the past few months. More than [name_m]Jacob[/name_m].
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]/[name_m]Luka[/name_m].
I have been interviewing for nannying/daycare jobs, and met 9 little boys name [name_m]Luka[/name_m], just this month! All under 5 years old.
Also, met 3 girls named [name_f]Ella[/name_f] ([name_f]One[/name_f] with sisters [name_f]Emma[/name_f], and [name_f]Elly[/name_f]…thought that was a little too similar…)
And quite a few little Austins.
Also, 3 Victorias…(Two nicknamed [name_f]Tori[/name_f], which I actually think I may like…especially opposed to [name_f]Vicky[/name_f]…but I truthfully do not like [name_f]Victoria[/name_f].
In person? [name_m]Charles[/name_m] and [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. Also many -adens ([name_m]Braden[/name_m], [name_u]Jaden[/name_u]), [name_u]Peyton[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
On Nameberry [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] seem to be in the air. I’ve also seen [name_m]Rainer[/name_m] a few times, and variations on [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].
I live in the South (USA) and I have noticed that little girls with the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] are everywhere. Their full names range from [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] to simply [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or just [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. Also, I’ve heard [name_m]Eli[/name_m] for boys a lot, as well as [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m].
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. I’ve met several sets of siblings with these names. And of course [name_m]Jack[/name_m], which I am positively sick of hearing. The streets are crawling with them.
As for girls, I’ve heard a lot of [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] recently, along with a couple of other irritatingly juvenile names like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_u]Skye[/name_u]. Actually, there seems to be an abundance of parents giving only their daughters the showy, cutesy names and it strikes me as vaguely sexist.
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] seems to be everywhere around me. [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] also seems to be popular in my state right now. I thought it was heading out, but apparently not.
Other than the typical Addisons and Jadens, I’ve seen a few little boys named [name_m]Linus[/name_m]. [name_f]One[/name_f] named [name_u]Satchel[/name_u]. Someone in my family just had a little girl named [name_f]Birdie[/name_f].
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is actually a descendent of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and a traditional Scottish name. So maybe people aren’t choosing it to be cutesy but for other significant reasons.
Tons and tons of [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]'s. They’re everywhere.
And [name_u]Riley[/name_u]. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] girl, [name_u]Riley[/name_u] boy, doesn’t matter. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a whole bunch of [name_u]Riley[/name_u]'s.
Lots of [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s as well.
And I’ve met a strangly odd amount of [name_m]Kevin[/name_m]'s lately, and most of them not even in their teenage years yet. [name_f]One[/name_f] an infant and three or four under 5 years old.
Oh yes, the Charlottes are everywhere! [name_m]Jack[/name_m] & [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]…
[name_u]Logan[/name_u] for boy & girls. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] & [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
I work with the preschoolers at my church and this summer at camp we had at least one [name_f]Ava[/name_f] every week!! Super popular in my area. Its a pretty name, but I’m getting really tired of it!
On a better note, I was babysitting last week and the little girl I sit for mentioned her new little cousin, and showed me the birth announcement on the fridge. Her name was [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]! I thought that was so sweet, vintage and awesome!
I have met three [name_f]Ella[/name_f]'s in the last two weeks.
[name_m]Colton[/name_m] age 3
[name_u]Devin[/name_u] (girl) age 3
[name_f]Neveah[/name_f]
[name_f]Paige[/name_f] and kaylee (sisters)
This is a really interesting post! In my area the popular names are [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_f]Ella[/name_f]/[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_u]Madison[/name_u], [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. I also know quite a few little ones named [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. It’s interesting to see how the names vary geographically - I’ve actually never met a [name_u]Logan[/name_u]!
[name_u]Riley[/name_u]'s apparently. I honestly thought this name was only starting to get more popular, but I have recently come into contact with 3 of them my son’s age. He has [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Rylee[/name_u] (twin sister [name_f]Kylee[/name_f]) in his class and I wondered why they wouldn’t split the same-named girls up until I realized the other class has a [name_u]Riley[/name_u] in it as well, haha.
