I was named after a TV show character originally, but then I changed my name.

my real name is biblical and my mom had loved it since she was a young girl, when she first heard that story. my middle name is after my grandmother and my mom’s best friend.

My first name is actually both from the flower & from my grandmother, who’s middle name is margaret. But my middle name is because my parents wanted both me and my brother to have somewhat matching middle names, so they decided to make them nature themed. (rayne & forest)

[name_f]My[/name_f] Dad is a secret trainspotter doesn’t go with his hard tough guy image but yep! I have the same middle name as my mum.

I was named after my mom’s friend from when she lived in [name_u]Arizona[/name_u]. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom has always said I look just like her too.

[name_f]My[/name_f] middle name is after someone who was very close to my parents and was like an uncle to when I was little, but we don’t have any type of relationship with him anymore so now I like to think it’s after my grandma [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] (middle name is Rya)

I was supposed to be [name_f]Lori[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] but thankfully after a 36 hour labor which my 19 year old mother hadn’t even realized would hurt (the naval ob-gyn was off at a golf tournament hence no inducing), she gasped, “She doesn’t look like a [name_f]Lori[/name_f] Ann!” to which my frazzled young father replied, “Anything! Name her anything you want!” so she chose my Scottish name out of the blue.

I was named after [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]. Had I been a boy, I would have been [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] or [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. I was born female, though, so I was [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_u]Rayne[/name_u]. I changed the spelling to [name_u]Rain[/name_u].

[name_f]My[/name_f] middle name (Elaine) is the same as my maternal grandma’s middle name. I like having a more subtle honor name. I think that I may use my mom’s middle name (Marie) someday for my daughter’s middle name.

First name is after my maternal great-great grandmother (Hazel), and middle name is after my paternal great-grandmother (Elizabeth, though everyone called her Lil)! Honors all around. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I was named after an actress who was on a show my mom used to watch. She thought the girl and her name were adorable. I’m not exactly sure where they came up with my middle name, like if they heard it somewhere, but it was chosen because it sounded good with my first and last names.

For fun…

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband’s first name was chosen from a soap opera that his mom had on in the hospital. One middle is a family name and the other middle name is a common filler middle that went well with the others.
