What were your imaginary friends named?

Mine were [name]Alice[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], [name]Elaine[/name], and Sangafine. I pronounced it Sang-guh-fine (fine rhymes with dine).

I guess there’s a lot of leeway when naming an imaginary individual.

[name]Just[/name] for fun: if you had an imaginary friend today, what would you call him/her?

I had… Riale (ree-al) Timyainia (tim-yah-na) Dagon, [name]Gordon[/name] and assorted others.

I had [name]Barbie[/name] and Elephant- really imaginative (not). Characters that I daydream about at the moment (usually better versions of myself) are called [name]Persephone[/name] [name]Alice[/name] (nn Sepphie) or [name]Nephele[/name] [name]Kate[/name] (nn [name]Nellie[/name]) but these are not friends, just characters in daydreams.

Mine was [name]Skipper[/name], which if I remember correctly, was [name]Barbie[/name]'s little sister.

My imaginary friends were [name]Dolly[/name] Oopsalo and [name]Courtney[/name]. I know I had others but I can’t remember their names.

My only two imaginary friends were [name]Otis[/name] and [name]Lotus[/name] - they were brother and sister lol

My imaginary friend’s name was [name]Carrie[/name] after my grandma [name]Carol[/name] who lived across the country from me for most of my childhood. You’d think by 6th grade I would have grown out of her, but up until I was 15, I still wrote my diary as letters to her.

If I had a daughter today, my first choice for a name for her would be [name]Carolina[/name] (cair-oh-lee-nah). Unfortunately, my step-brother and his wife just named their daughter [name]Carrie[/name], so that’s out as a nn for my future [name]Carolina[/name]. But there’s still [name]Lina[/name] and [name]Cara[/name] and even [name]Cora[/name] or [name]Cory[/name].

I was an uncreative child when it came to imaginary names… I had [name]Mary[/name], [name]Laura[/name], [name]Carrie[/name], & [name]Grace[/name] (The Ingalls Girls form The [name]Little[/name] House on The [name]Prairie[/name] series) as well as D.W. and [name]Cora[/name] (From The TV series [name]Arthur[/name]).

I think my first when I was really little was [name]George[/name], who was impossibly tall. I also had a phase where the cast from Full House were my imaginary friends. I think the last one was [name]Noelle[/name] before I grew out of it, though I did still write stories for awhile about her.

I forget now what [name]Noelle[/name]'s superpower was, but I’d gotten really into comic books and I remember in the stories my alter-ego and she, my best friend, were mutants like in the X-men.

I had an imaginary brother named [name]Michael[/name] who would often tease me in the car. I think he was similar to the character on [name]Barney[/name] named [name]Michael[/name].

I still have one- sort of. Her name is [name]Evie[/name]- a character in a book I’m writing. I use her to keep people from sitting next to me on the bus. “No, you can’t sit there. My imaginary friend [name]Evie[/name] is sitting there.” Works every time.

I consider my book characters imaginary friends, so I have a lot: [name]Kira[/name], [name]Megumi[/name], [name]Auburn[/name], [name]Ava[/name]… [name]Just[/name] to name a few.

I never had any imaginary friends, but I did have stuffed animals that I pretended were “real” friends. Does that count?

In any case, I had:

[name]Walter[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] (a teddy bear with a purple bowtie)
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] (a soft doll that was meant to look like a flower)
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] (a relatively small and incredibly soft teddy bear)

Mostly I just call/ed them [name]Walter[/name], [name]Violet[/name], and [name]Cordelia[/name].

I’m thirteen with three imaginary friends… I have named them [name]Grayson[/name], [name]Liam[/name] and [name]Gisele[/name]. [name]Kinda[/name] random.

As a little kid, I had the imaginary friends [name]Ivan[/name] and [name]Fifi[/name] (who I brought everywhere ).
When I got a little bit older, I had imaginary cousins named Sarabelle, [name]Mirabelle[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name] (so tacky, wow).

I had so many! Most people thought I was kinda weird… I (and my family) didn’t realize so many other people had imaginary friends! The only names I can remember were [name]Ashley[/name] (it seemed to me the ultimate “cool girl” name at the time), Malcra (pronounced like the beginning of [name]Malory[/name] then the end of lycra), and [name]Veronica[/name].

But I also pretended I was a fairy princess named Shellra, and had a bunch of fairy princess sisters- my real sister was [name]Alyna[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name], usually called A.A.; the others included [name]Sydney[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Jenny[/name]. There were more but I don’t remember.

I never had an imaginary friend, but i do remember my sister having one named [name]Philly[/name]

I just kind of “adopted” characters from my favorite show, [name]Madeline[/name]. So there was [name]Madeline[/name], [name]Aggy[/name] (short for [name]Agnes[/name]), Miss Clavelle, etc.
I did come up with a group of kids we were at war with (heh…my little kid idea of war was easily deflected cannons every hour or so). Those girls were JJ (She had names for those J’s…I think one was [name]Josephine[/name]?), [name]Evie[/name] (relative [name]Evelyn[/name]), and [name]Vicki[/name] (that one from the show).

I had imaginary friends when I was 8 or 9. They were [name]Star[/name] Wars characters. I had [name]Obi[/name]-Wan Kenobi, Jar Jar Binks, Qui-Gon Jinn, and [name]Padme[/name] [name]Amidala[/name]. Lol

I love names, so I also name all my stuffed animals. (I’m 13, so it’s… less weird, I guess.) I have a stuffed cat named [name]Sam[/name], a stuffed rabbit named [name]Violet[/name], a stuffed goat named [name]Ambrose[/name], a stuffed frog named Pickle, and a stuffed dog named Caramel. Lol
