What would you name a brother for...?

Hey Berries!

My absolute favorite girl names are Marie and Louisa, but I don’t think my boy names match. (They are much more outdoorsy. ie August, Forest, Wesley, etc.)

What would you name a brother(s) to Louisa and Marie?

I would name a brother…
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m]
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] (Charlie)
[name_u]Timothy[/name_u]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
[name_u]Francis[/name_u]
[name_u]George[/name_u]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
[name_u]Henry[/name_u]
[name_u]Harry[/name_u]

I think your boys names work well with [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u]! Especially [name_u]August[/name_u].

I think [name_u]August[/name_u] (or maybe Augustus) could work as it’s quite classic

Otherwise, [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and…

[name_u]Edward[/name_u]
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Henry[/name_u]
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_u]George[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_u]Daniel[/name_u]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]

Sorry for any repeats…

French and long-standing classics!

Some of these have meanings associated with nature:

Louisa, Marie and…

Laurent
Laurence
Frederic
Olivier
Pascal
Bastien
Benjamin
Theodore
Edward
Charles
Willoughby
Joseph
Edmund
Jacques
Claude
Emil
Florin
Clement
Hadrien
Henri
Phillipe
Quincy
Ranier
René
Sylvain

Some of these would even go well with August, Wesley or Forest as middles.

And of course there’s the French Auguste.

[name_u]Marie[/name_u] & [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] are such a perfect pair! For what it’s worth, I could see any of your boys’ names rounding out the set–especially [name_u]August[/name_u], which I actually think fits really well. Otherwise, though, maybe something along the lines of…

[name_u]Arthur[/name_u]
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
[name_u]Daniel[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Francis[/name_u]
[name_u]Franklin[/name_u]
[name_u]George[/name_u]
[name_u]Henry[/name_u]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Jameson[/name_u]
[name_u]Julian[/name_u]
[name_u]Oliver[/name_u]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]

I think [name_u]August[/name_u] pairs well with [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u]!

Here are some more possibilities:

[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
[name_u]Bennett[/name_u]
[name_m]Archie[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]

From your UC, I think [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]Philip[/name_m], [name_m]Cedric[/name_m], and [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] work quite well with [name_u]Marie[/name_u] & [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]!

I’d also suggest…
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_u]George[/name_u]

I would go for more academic, old money sounding names. Like something you would find at a rich boarding school.

[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Preston[/name_m]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]

[name_u]Archer[/name_u] / Archie/ [name_m]Archibald[/name_m] … still feels regal with [name_u]Maria[/name_u] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] but rugged and outdoorsy

[name_u]Albie[/name_u] / [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]

[name_u]Bennett[/name_u]

I think your boy’s names work very well with your girls, I especially like [name_u]Wesley[/name_u]! But because both of your girl’s names are classic, some fun and classic boys should work well.

[name_u]Henry[/name_u]
[name_u]Charles[/name_u]
[name_u]Leander[/name_u]
[name_u]William[/name_u]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m]
[name_m]Stephan[/name_m]
[name_m]Johnathan[/name_m]
[name_u]Edward[/name_u]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Richard[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u]

First off, I think your boy names are beautiful with [name_u]Marie[/name_u] & [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. Really. They have historical value & precedence, they’re pleasant-sounding to the ear, familiar, ageless…

If they don’t seem like the same style TO YOU, that’s fine, but I think it’s really common for people to have different styles for boys and girls. [name_f]My[/name_f] girl style is vintage nicknames with “ie” endings, and my boy style is what my husband and I have jokingly named “Celtic cowboy”. We have a son named [name_u]Rory[/name_u] and a daughter named [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. They are not the same style, but we feel they’re very complementary. I think your two styles complement each other tremendously.

That said, you asked for suggestions. When I mulled over all the names you mentioned, these came to mind:

[name_u]Alton[/name_u]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Raymond[/name_m]
[name_u]Edward[/name_u]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u]
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]
[name_u]George[/name_u]
[name_u]Henry[/name_u]
[name_u]William[/name_u]
[name_u]Douglas[/name_u]
[name_m]Russell[/name_m]
[name_u]Nelson[/name_u]
[name_m]Stewart[/name_m]
[name_u]Ray[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_u]Jack[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_u]Grady[/name_u]
[name_u]Oliver[/name_u]
[name_u]Cal[/name_u]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonathan[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathan[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_u]Joseph[/name_u]
