We are in love with [name_m]Aleph[/name_m] and [name_u]Maurice[/name_u] but are trying to keep our options open to names that would adapt better into Spanish. Our kids are [name_m]Albert[/name_m] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and though I love their names and they suit each one very well, I would like to be more bold with my Spanish identity in our new baby’s name.
[name_u]Maurice[/name_u] is nice, but here are some ideas
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Matteo[/name_m]/[name_m]Mateo[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]/[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Alejandro[/name_m]/[name_m]Alexandre[/name_m]
[name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Antonio[/name_m]
[name_m]Enzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m]
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_m]Bruno[/name_m]
[name_u]Jaime[/name_u]/[name_u]Jamie[/name_u]
[name_m]Tomas[/name_m]/[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
I hope this helped!

[name_m]Rafael[/name_m]
[name_m]Bruno[/name_m]

Félix
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Carlos[/name_m]
[name_m]Felipe[/name_m]
[name_m]Emilio[/name_m]
[name_m]Santiago[/name_m]
[name_m]Javier[/name_m] (maybe [name_m]French[/name_m] speakers would have difficulty with the Spanish J sound, I’m not sure)
[name_u]Maurice[/name_u] fits so nicely with your other children’s names! Also the suggestions by @lumen of [name_m]Emilio[/name_m] and [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] are gorgeous! Some other [name_m]French[/name_m]/Spanish/Latin inspired choices you might like…
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_m]Emilio[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_m]Reuben[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_m]Cassiel[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_m]Nicasio[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_m]Crispen[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f],and [name_m]Florien[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_m]Isadore[/name_m]
I think [name_m]Aleph[/name_m] is too close to [name_m]Albert[/name_m], but I love it!!
I’m [name_m]French[/name_m], but I know of Spanish names. Let me try:
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Matteo[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Adam[/name_m]
[name_m]Miguel[/name_m]
[name_u]Roan[/name_u]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_m]Mathias[/name_m]
[name_m]Tomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Esteban[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiago[/name_m]
[name_m]Bruno[/name_m]
[name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
[name_m]Emilian[/name_m]
[name_m]Adriel[/name_m]
I really like [name_m]Aleph[/name_m] but like a previous poster mentioned I think it might be a bit close to [name_m]Albert[/name_m].
I love the french name [name_m]Loic[/name_m] but don’t know how that would work in Spanish? I noticed that [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] or [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] has been suggested and I think this would work well in both languages.
What are your thoughts on:
[name_m]Marques[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_m]Cesar[/name_m]
[name_m]Valentino[/name_m]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_m]Marcello[/name_m]
[name_m]Emil[/name_m]
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Marco[/name_m]
[name_m]Adelio[/name_m]
My husband and I chose [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] (He is from San [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], Puerto [name_m]Rico[/name_m] and I am from [name_u]French[/name_u] [name_f]Louisiana[/name_f]). San [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], Spain is also on the border of Northern Spain/Southern [name_f]France[/name_f].
Coincidentally, [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] was believed to protect from the plague! (aprapos for covid era). However, we didn’t know this when we picked the name.
Leo was my maternal grandfather’s middle name.
Another name is [name_u]Jean[/name_u] (pronounced the [name_u]French[/name_u] way). It is gender neutral.
The idea comes from a male friend that I have named [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. He is from Puerto [name_m]Rico[/name_m].
Marcell or [name_f]Marcella[/name_f]
I agree.
