What you think?

My sister is expecting twins (girl, girl) due [name]December[/name]; she is extremely thrilled but has not arrive to the final decision regarding the future names. I ask her to check nameberry, but the truth is that she is kind of busy. Nonetheless she listed her favorite names (she is positive she will choose from this list) but suggestions are appreciated too. What do you think of these names? Can you help us narrow it down to two?
[name]Violet[/name]*
[name]Emery[/name]*
[name]Danielle[/name]*
[name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]*
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Allison[/name]
[name]Ever[/name]
[name]Emme[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name]

You have all great taste in names and I will like to THANK YOU in advance!

[name]Hi[/name], kathe! Congratulations to your sister and to you!

[name]Violet[/name]: I really love this name…
[name]Emery[/name]
: I think this is pretty, too, although it’s a different style from the classic and vintage names on your list.
[name]Danielle[/name]*: Here’s what [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] wrote about [name]Danielle[/name]: “Au revoir, [name]Michelle[/name], [name]Nicole[/name], [name]Denise[/name], and [name]Danielle[/name].” I agree with them, feeling that [name]Danielle[/name] is very dated (I think of it as 1980s). (I’m sorry!)

She may also like:

[name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name]
[name]Marielle[/name]

[name]Adeline[/name]: I think this is really pretty, but pronunciation issues may arise. I’ve heard [name]Adda[/name]-line, [name]Adda[/name]-lynn, and [name]Adda[/name]-leen.
[name]Juliet[/name]*: I [name]LOVE[/name] this name!
[name]Alice[/name]: Ditto…
[name]Allison[/name]: [name]Allison[/name] feels dated to me, too…
[name]Ever[/name]: Not my style, and when I see it, I can’t help but think of “[name]Ever[/name] After.”

Does she like [name]Eve[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Evangeline[/name], or [name]Genevieve[/name] (nn [name]Evie[/name])?

[name]Emme[/name]: I think of [name]Emme[/name] as a really cute nickname for any of the [name]Em[/name] names. [name]Emma[/name] is the #1 for girls in the US and [name]Emily[/name] is #4 (formerly #1 for seemingly ever), so [name]Em[/name] names are very popular.

I love [name]Emme[/name] as a nickname for [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name].

[name]Gabrielle[/name]: Like [name]Danielle[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] feels dated to me, but less so.

[name]Amelie[/name]: I love this French name, as well as [name]Amelia[/name].

My favorites from your list:

[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name]

[name]Violet[/name] and Juilet are my favorites, but because they have the same ending, I don’t think I’d pair them together. Hmm…

My favorite pairings:
[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Juliette[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name] (I used the French [name]Juliet[/name] spelling to fit with [name]Amelie[/name])
[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name]

I can also see [name]Emery[/name] with [name]Violet[/name].

She may also like:

[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] (first name)
[name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Stella[/name]

Good luck!

I like [name]Emery[/name] and [name]Adeline[/name].

I think [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Alice[/name] would make a superb twin-set as they are both similar in style (classic), have their own distinct sounds, and are not ridiculously popular yet (I know that [name]Violet[/name] is getting up there, though). Also, the nicknames [name]Ali[/name] and [name]Vi[/name] or [name]Allie[/name] and [name]Lettie[/name] are very cute. I personally think [name]Alice[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] [name]Emma[/name] would be very pretty names for twin girls. I am an identical twin myself, and my advice about naming is to give each girl a name that is different enough from her sisters that she can develop her own identity with it, yet similar in style so that there is some unifying, equalizing factor. Good luck to your sister.

[name]Alice[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] [name]Emma[/name] - so pretty!

These are great names. First I’ll list some possible pairs, then at the end I listed a few ‘no-no’ pairs

[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Emery[/name] and [name]Ever[/name]
[name]Emery[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name]
[name]Emery[/name] and [name]Allison[/name]
[name]Danielle[/name] and [name]Allison[/name]
[name]Adeline[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Adeline[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name] (not my favorite pair but ok)
[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] and [name]Emme[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name]

These pairs [name]DO[/name] NOT sound good together
[name]Danielle[/name] and [name]Gabrielle[/name]
[name]Ever[/name] and [name]Emme[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] and [name]Allison[/name]
[name]Emery[/name] and [name]Ever[/name]
[name]Emery[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Emery[/name] and [name]Emme[/name]

Great suggestion! [name]Emery[/name] with [name]Violet[/name] or [name]Adeline[/name] as a sweet Southern feel to me.
