i have so many! i’d say the most significant name i changed my mind about was [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] (my top name at the moment 
) which i hated at first—like, “why would anybody name their child that” hated it.
but then i heard of [name_u]Rafa[/name_u] as a nickname for it, and i saw some nice combos that had [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] as a middle or first, and i started warming up to it. now it’s my all-time favorite name

i used to vehemently dislike delilah - now it’s on my longlist! i was also a bit of a spelling snob but recently i’ve come to appreciate non-traditional spellings much more. i love the summery feel of marlee and darcie, for example!
names i’ve negatively changed my mind about include audrey, dominique, elena, emmeline, connor, rhys and theodore (though i still love theo). overall i think my attitude has shifted more from ‘i don’t like this name.’ to ‘it’s not really my style, but even that might change.’

I often fall out of love with names, but they just become “meh” names. I don’t think that there are any that I previously loved that I now dislike.
One name that I thought was boring but now love is [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. It’s simple and beautiful, familiar but not overused.

I decided I liked it so much that [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] is now a major character in my novel The Mortal Part, Dame [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_u]Murray[/name_u], Scottish playwright and director.
for me that would be [name_m]Linus[/name_m], going from intense dislike to appreciation and fondness.
and for the girls I feel similarly about [name_f]Nora[/name_f] which I used to borderline hate but now [name_m]Ive[/name_m] got a name nerd crush on lol

some that i used to dislike and now love are dominic, vincent, rosemary, josephine, margot and agnes, but the most significant one was august. i used to really dislike it, and i wondered what the appeal was for years, but now it’s on my shortlist for boys and girls

I’m starting to appreciate the New Testament classics more, Matthew / Mark / Peter / Paul, which were definitely just “dad names” growing up!

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f], I used to disliked it bc it’s one, too popular and two; tied with the Kardashians. But now I’m warming up to the name as a mn though
I never liked names like [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] / [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] / [name_u]August[/name_u] but they started appealing to me as mn and now I would 100% use them
[name_m]Albert[/name_m]. I knew a couple of [name_m]Alberts[/name_m] as a kid and always thought the name was clunky and weird.
I’d use it now, and love the nns [name_u]Albie[/name_u] and [name_u]Bert[/name_u].
Another is [name_m]Edgar[/name_m]. I always hated that the villain in [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Lear[/name_m] was [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] (a name I’ve always loved) and the hero was [name_m]Edgar[/name_m], another of those names I disliked (along with Edwin). But after years of working in opera, [name_m]Edgardo[/name_m] is wonderful, and I’ve come to respect [name_m]Edgar[/name_m]. Not a name I’d give my son, but totally a name I would think was cool on a grandson, and definitely a character name at some point.
I didn’t like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] seeing it on paper at first, but then I saw an interview with a girl called [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and hearing her name getting repeated on the show made me fall in love
