For boys, my least favourite is [name]River[/name], as it seems an almost cliche hippy choice to me - sorry! I quite like [name]Seth[/name] and [name]Cyrus[/name], and really like [name]Leo[/name] although it seems to be getting popular. [name]Ari[/name] is my second favourite (so handsome, but still soft) but in my opinion the handsome, soft and unusual [name]Dashiell[/name] is unbeatable.
I would name your son [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Ari[/name]!
For girls, I don’t think that the unisex [name]Rowan[/name] fits with your other, much more feminine, choices. [name]Drusilla[/name] I personally don’t feel is pretty enough for a comeback just yet, and [name]Natalia[/name] doesn’t stun me. I think [name]Meadow[/name] is quirky and beautiful, and made totally accessibly in second place. [name]Dahlia[/name] is beautiful and unusual, and ties with the lovely, glamorous [name]Romilly[/name] for first place.
I would name your daughter [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Meadow[/name] or [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Blythe[/name], both of which I think are unbeatable combinations.
[name]Camelia[/name] sprung to mind as I was reading your options.
[name]Favorite[/name] boy-[name]Ari[/name]. So handsome, unusual, and ages well.
Least favorite-[name]Seth[/name]. Never liked it, and as a preschool teacher, I see a lot of them.
[name]Favorite[/name] girl-[name]Dahlia[/name]. [name]Love[/name] it.
Least favorite girl- [name]Drusilla[/name]. Not a pretty sound to me, and what little girl wants to be named after the evil stepsister in [name]Cinderella[/name]?
[name]Ari[/name]-This is my first time seeing this name and I love it!! Very cute!!
[name]River[/name]-I love [name]River[/name]! I love it in the MN spot with sooo many FNs
[name]Cyrus[/name]-I’m not sure how I feel about it…I think I’m leaning on the “like” side…depends on the other names it is paired with.
[name]Leo[/name]-I love this as a NN
[name]Dashiell[/name]-I think I’m alone on this one but I just don’t like this name.
[name]Seth[/name]-I like this name but it seems a little too tame in the line-up.
[name]Dahlia[/name]-[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name]!!
[name]Romilly[/name]-Not really a fan.
[name]Rowan[/name]-Hehe, this is one of my top five and has been for years!
[name]Meadow[/name]-Sweet as a MN [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Natalia[/name]-I like this. Not over the moon but the right pairing could put it there.
[name]Drusilla[/name]- >.< This name makes me think of an evil step sister with a huge warty nose, dirty fingernails, basset hound eyes and lank greasy hair.
[name]Ari[/name]:[name]How[/name] do you prn? sounds too feminine for me.
[name]River[/name]:A little too hippie and fem.
[name]Cyrus[/name]:[name]LOVE[/name] this,so sweet!
[name]Leo[/name]:[name]Love[/name] this as a NN,but I would go with [name]Leon[/name],NN [name]Leo[/name].
[name]Dashiell[/name]:I can see the appeal, but I’m just not a fan.
[name]Seth[/name]:Not as handsome as the others.
[name]Dahlia[/name]:I like this,I just like [name]Delilah[/name] more.
[name]Romilly[/name]:I like it for the NN [name]Romy[/name].
[name]Rowan[/name]:[name]LOVE[/name] this on either gender!
[name]Meadow[/name]:[name]WAY[/name] too hippie for me,plus there aren’t any good NN.
[name]Natalia[/name]:Familiar yet exotic and it has great nn.
[name]Drusilla[/name]:I actually really like it![name]Dru[/name] is so cute!
I mostly agree with everyone on [name]Drusilla[/name], my husband for some reason LOVES it and refuses to take it off the list. I had completely forgotten about the ugly stepsister thing! And I’m a huge Disney fan.
favorites, least favorites, and just general opinions on the names.
[name]Ari[/name] - I like this name, because my sister and me invented the mock-version of the actor [name]Gary[/name] Oldman’s name: [name]Ari[/name] Goldman, so there’s lots of happy moments associated with it and of course it’s a nice name, albeit a little short
[name]River[/name] - I don’t like this habit of naming kids after things
[name]Cyrus[/name] - first association: [name]Miley[/name] [name]Cyrus[/name], on second thoughts: it’s a little too old fashioned for me
[name]Leo[/name] - too short, how about [name]Leon[/name], [name]Leonard[/name], or [name]Leonardo[/name]?
[name]Dashiell[/name] - It’s a nice name, but I never really warmed up to it
[name]Seth[/name] - makes me think of the egytian god or a teenager from some television show
[name]Dahlia[/name] - I think I prefer [name]Delia[/name]
[name]Romilly[/name] - [name]Romy[/name] and [name]Lilly[/name] are both great names, but they don’t mix well
[name]Rowan[/name] - a truly lovely name
[name]Meadow[/name] - again naming children after a thing, apart from flowers, isn’t my thing
[name]Natalia[/name] - like it
favourite: [name]Ari[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name]
least favourite: [name]Cyrus[/name] and [name]Romilly[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name] and [name]Ari[/name] are great choices. I love [name]Romilly[/name] and [name]Natalia[/name] is nice but overly used. My suggestion is [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Ari[/name] for your son and [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Natalia[/name] for your daughter.
