Whats your favorite name and why?
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Grace[/name].
I just love the French, sweet, simple, feminine feel of [name]Isabelle[/name] (not to mention the meaning “my God is a vow”), and the nn [name]Belle[/name]/[name]Bella[/name]/[name]Ella[/name], and I love the Disney princess feel of [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Aurora[/name], and I love that [name]Grace[/name] honors my grandma. Plus, the meaning of [name]Aurora[/name] “dawn” is significant to me.
for a girl: [name]Maya[/name]
to me it is beautiful, simple, sweet, and elegant.
it’s my daughter’s name which is why it will probably always be my favorite
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]. It reminds me of carefree summer afternoons when all the kids would eat honeysuckles and watermelon on the banks of the river while fishing back in my hometown in [name]Virginia[/name]. [name]Corinne[/name] after my mom.
Changes daily.[name]Aurora[/name] is usually involved though. Today it is [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Diane[/name],[name]Aurora[/name] because I love it (and the nn [name]Rory[/name]!) and [name]Diane[/name] after one of my grandmothers (pronounced [name]Dee[/name]-[name]Ann[/name], “the French way” as she says).
Lylie.
(LIE-lee)
I love names with the repeating “l” sound, but [name]Delilah[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] (and even [name]Leela[/name]) are too popular for my taste. I also love the unique-ness and originality of the name. My SO and I both love it. We think it is absolutely gorgeous and has a lot of charm to it.
[name]Peri[/name]
Firstly, in this spelling, I think it is absolutely adorable! I think this is a cute, short, fun, spunky name with some kind of pizazz-y character in it.
(And I also love boys’/surnames on girls, so this name hits the jackpot!)
For a girl, my current favorite is [name]Olive[/name]. I love how rich and ancient the fruit is.
For a boy, my current favorite is [name]Calvin[/name]. My husband loved [name]Calvin[/name] and [name]Hobbes[/name], and from the stories I’ve heard it seems like he was a little [name]Calvin[/name] himself growing up.
[name]Daphne[/name]. It’s floral, its unusual but recognisable, its different, its sweet - I just love it.
Changes, like, constantly. Right now it’s [name]Miranda[/name]. Timeless, magical, Shakespearean, mermaidy, with a great meaning. [name]Love[/name] nicknames [name]Mira[/name] and [name]Mimi[/name]. Not common but not weird. Feminine but not frilly. Versatile and wearable, but distinctive. [name]Just[/name]… lovely.
