What kind of family is he from? Is he cool or a plonker? Clever or stupid? Timeless or just boring? DH loves this name, but all I can think about is greasy [name]Isaac[/name] from [name]Hanson[/name]… Needing to hear outside impressions of the name!
I have a few different impressions of [name]Isaac[/name], but it’s second on my boys list so I’m going to go for the nice one: I see [name]Isaac[/name] as being from a good family, not wealthy in the slightest but with good morals and who have brought [name]Isaac[/name] up to treat everyone and himself with respect. In school he’s a bit of a nerd but he only wants to do his best, he’s a gentleman and part of the “outcast” crew - though he really doesn’t mind - he’s clever when he works hard and a funny guy when people stick around long enough to get to know him. [name]Isaac[/name] has never been cool really, just [name]Isaac[/name], but he wouldn’t change himself and neither would anyone who really knows him.
The name [name]Isaac[/name] is very handsome, underused, and timeless, imo. The image I have is of an athletic, clean-cut, boy scout type of kid from a conservative family. It also makes me think of light brown hair, lightly tanned skin, and a broad forehead with smooth poreless skin – I think I mean a freshly scrubbed look.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Isaac[/name]! I think of a guy who is sensitive, kind, but wise, a really likeable guy. Down to earth. The kind of guy who would be top of his class in high school, the football quarterback, but the kind of high school jock that doesn’t haze the freshmen and really cares about people.
The only [name]Isaac[/name] I’ve met was a friendly, musically-inclined redhead. I think of [name]Isaac[/name] as a guy who’s intelligent and quiet with a good heart.
I love [name]Isaac[/name], its one of my favourite names. I can picture the name on any kid.
[name]Every[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] I’ve known was African American and a bit hostile.
Well, I liked it 35 years ago, but not so much now. Unless you are Jewish, it doesn’t work for me.
I’ve never been one to picture certain types of people with names – I never really understood that because your kid could be totally different than that. I’m not criticizing you – sorry if it sounds that way. I came in here to say that I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] and part of the reason I love it is that it is such an open name to me in terms of the type of person an “[name]Isaac[/name]” could be. I can picture an [name]Isaac[/name] who is super strong, macho, and athletic and into sports and an [name]Isaac[/name] who is a poet and an [name]Isaac[/name] who is the funny sweet guy who always makes you laugh. This is such an underused classic. [name]Love[/name] it.
I am friends with a couple Isaacs and they are very intelligent guys who are popular, outgoing, have great personalities and love to laugh.
