When the right names just aren't right

I’m in the process of changing my name, and I’ve gone through so many name potentials, it’s getting frustrating how large the pile of “Right, but not right” name is growing!

For example:
[name]April[/name] - Brilliant because it’s my birth month, starts with an A, and would be just so simple and easy to assimilate into. Unfortunately, it’s too “butterflies and sugar” for my personality, imo.
[name]Aurora[/name] - More dramatic, and heavy but still airy to me. Whimsical but grounded. It means [name]Dawn[/name], which is my mother’s middle so it’d pacify her negative reactions to the name change. Begins and ends with A. 3 Syllables, has the nickname of [name]Ari[/name], just lovely.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the blasted name clearly and smoothly enough for my liking. And it’s a very direct tie to being named after my mother which I don’t want.
[name]Aria[/name] - A beginning and ending, resembles the word [name]Aries[/name] which is my sign, nn [name]Ari[/name], 3 syllables, musical meaning which I love. Whimisical.
Unfortunately, too short in letters, and too airy.
[name]Meghan[/name] - Well known enough, fits my father’s nickname for me, starts with an M so I keep my initial, I think it fits my personality.
Unfortunately, a variant of my mother’s first name, so again ties too directly into naming myself after her which I don’t want. Negative vibes from a lot of people, and it’s very popular for my year of birth in various spellings.

And the list goes on with other names like [name]Victoria[/name] (too popular), [name]Vittoria[/name] (too exotic/unknown/spelling issues), [name]Melody[/name], [name]Jasmine[/name] (Father’s exgirlfriend before my mother :s), [name]Caroline[/name] (same meaning as the middle name), [name]Cassandra[/name] (cousin’s name), etc.

Anyone else face these issues when looking for a name whether for yourself, your child or your character?
It’s always like the smallest things are holding the name back from being right enough. I don’t want perfect, but somethings are deal breakers.
