Marielena is so cool!

MarieElena is visually confusing for me and would cause me to stumble/pause before reading that name aloud, for example. Whereas Marialena, even though I’ve never seen it before, makes perfect sense to me and I would know exactly how to say it. Definitely would be my choice of the two.

I think Marielena (all one word, one E) makes the most sense. It feels more like a name than Marialena, especially if you’re going to use Elena and not [name_f]Alena[/name_f].

I would just use the hyphen. [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] is visually pleasing and the least confusing. I would pronounce Marialena as [name_f]Maria[/name_f]-leena (leena rhyming with [name_f]Nina[/name_f]) and the two E’s look odd side by side in MarieElena. There’s no telling what people will call her, but it’s not a big deal to correct them if they start calling her [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. My name is very intuitively shortened to a nickname, and I’m not too fond of the nickname so I correct people. It’s no biggie

[name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] or Marielena. Another mash-up suggestion: [name_f]Malena[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f]. I don’t care for either of the poll options, to me they look made up and silly.

I much prefer MarieElena, although I do think the hyphen is a better presentation than just pushing the names together. It is very pretty! Based on experience, I don’t think you need worry about people only calling her [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. Everyone I know with a hyphenated name is called by their full name unless specified by them. If you introduce her as [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] then people will call her that.

I voted for Marialena, but the vowels in all of your choices are really jumbled up.

have you thought of Marilena?

Out of your two options, I chose Marialena. I’m not a fan of having a capital in the middle of a name. If it was on the poll, I would choose [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f].

I prefer Marialena as it looks more like a real name. Have you considered [name_f]Elena[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] / [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]? Goodluck

Honestly, I think they both look like typos. I much, much prefer [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f].

I would go with the hyphenated [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] especially if you plan on calling her [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. I don’t think the hyphen is confusing and I don’t think she’ll be called [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. If anything sometimes people will call her the full name, but I doubt most people would use just [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. I know people who have hyphenated names and go by the second name and none of them have any issues.

I like MarieElena

I would do Marilena. I think it would be beautiful. Otherwise [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] or [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. Good luck!

[name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] or [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f].

[name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] or [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f] (or Marilena) would be my picks too. I didn’t vote because I don’t care for either of the poll options: MarieElena looks like a typo to me, while Marialena feels like a made-up smoosh name.

I agree that if you introduce her as [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f]/[name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f] (i.e. using both names) or just [name_f]Elena[/name_f], then that’s what people will most likely call her.

I vote for [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f]. It’s interesting and much easier to read than the smoosh names.

I much prefer [name_f]Marie[/name_f]-[name_f]Elena[/name_f] or [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f] to either of those options. I know a few people with double first names, they mostly go by the full names but one sometimes uses just the first half. The one that only uses her full name just corrects anyone who doesn’t.
