What full name do you prefer to get to the nickname [name]Cassie[/name]/[name]Cass[/name]?
[name]Cassia[/name] (pronounced cass-ee-uh)
[name]Cassandra[/name]
[name]Cassidy[/name]
I’m kind of torn between the three, so I’d love to know your opinions.
Also, any ideas for middle names for [name]Penelope[/name]? I’d also love for the middle names to have an R sound in there somewhere.
I love the name [name]Cassandra[/name], which is my daughter’s name.
I also love [name]Penelope[/name]. I like [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Rose[/name], even though I know that a lot of people consider [name]Rose[/name] a “filler” middle name.
I know [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Alice[/name] sounds bad on its own, but it sounds better when you say it with a middle name. I also like [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Rose[/name].
[name]Cassia[/name] (pronounced cass-ee-uh): I’m used to the [name]Cash[/name]-uh pronunciation, but either way, I think it’s a beautiful name…
[name]Cassandra[/name]: I think it’s pretty, but [name]Cassia[/name] feels fresher to me.
[name]Cassidy[/name]: [name]Cassidy[/name] feels trendy to me and a bit dated. (Here’s what [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] wrote: “Has fallen off its [name]Kathie[/name] [name]Lee[/name] [name]Gifford[/name].inspired peak.”)
I’m voting for [name]Cassia[/name], with [name]Cassandra[/name] in second place, and [name]Cassidy[/name] in third (actually, the order in which you’ve listed them…)
[name]Cassia[/name] sounds the most current to me. It would fit in nicely with today’s popular names ([name]Sophia[/name], [name]Olivia[/name]…) while still being unusual and interesting. Very nice pick!
I like feminisima names, but [name]Cassandra[/name] is a little over the top for my tastes. [name]Cassidy[/name] is cute, but sounds nicknamey to me, and since you’re going for a full version for [name]Cassie[/name], I don’t think it’s the best choice.
I prefer [name]Cassandra[/name] and then [name]Cassia[/name]. I’m not a fan of [name]Cassidy[/name]. I think the hard ‘d’ at the end just puts me off. [name]Penelope[/name] is on my list! It is so beautiful. I think one-syllable mns go best with it. Some suggestions:
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Rhea[/name] (I know, 2 syllables
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Marie[/name] (again)
I’d never considered [name]Cassie[/name] before, but I’ve been thinking about it more and more since you posted this. I’m loving it as a nickname for [name]Catherine[/name]. So sweet!
