I love [name]Violet[/name], but with your surname it sounds a bit like the name of a band or something. I’d choose [name]Emilia[/name] next, but agree with PP on the spelling, I like it better with an A.
[name]Elena[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] is a very pretty combo. [name]Elena[/name] [name]Vick[/name]**y sounds better than the repetitive “ee” sound in the [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Vick[/name]**y combo. I love [name]Violet[/name] but not with your surname.
Oops, voted for [name]Violet[/name], then re-read your post and saw your last name starts with V. I thought it was Hickory. I’m sick and reading comprehension is apparently very bad with this cold. So unless you like name alliteration, which I do but some don’t, I’d go with something else.
I like [name]Elena[/name] with your last name, and [name]Catherine[/name] is very pretty with [name]Elena[/name], but isn’t that the name of the main girl from TV show The Vampire Diaries? [name]Elena[/name], and her twin is named [name]Catherine[/name]? Probably not an issue, but it’s what I thought of when I saw it. I think [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Elaine[/name] V. sounds nice.
Although it is a pretty name, [name]Violet[/name] Hickory-with-a-V is a little too alliterative. I voted or [name]Elena[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]. Good luck!
I voted for [name]Elena[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] (because it’s amazing! And [name]Elena[/name] Vick0ry is pretty cool) and [name]Emilia[/name] (both [name]Elaine[/name] and another MN option, because [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Elaine[/name] has a lot of similar sounds, and could be tongue-twistery, but I love that it’s honoring). While I love [name]Violet[/name] and want to vote for it for you, [name]Violet[/name] Vick0ry is a lot of “V”. I prefer [name]Emilia[/name] of the two, personally, but [name]Elena[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] is so charmingly beautiful.
I love love love the name [name]Elena[/name] and think it sounds fine with your last name so that’s what I voted for. That being said, your [name]Elena[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] combo is soooo heavily tied to The Vampire Diaries for me (two characters played by the same actress who are named [name]Elena[/name]-the main character, and [name]Katherine[/name]- the ‘bag girl’ vampire). Obviously both names have many many other associations besides this show, but it’s just that when they are put together it is a little hard to overlook by anyone who has seen/read/heard of it. [name]Just[/name] so you are aware, and can decide how much that reference might bother you if you get asked more than once if that was the reason you chose the names. [name]Elena[/name] really is a great name, but are there any other middles you are considering? =]
I love [name]Violet[/name] but I don’t think it sounds great with your last name. [name]Elena[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] however sounds fantastic! Hands down gets my vote.
I think [name]Emilia[/name] is beautiful! It’s my favorite of your choices. However, I think it sounds much better with [name]Catherine[/name] or [name]Violet[/name]. I’m not a huge fan of [name]Elaine[/name]. Good luck in chosing!
I actually do know about the Vampire Diaries and I watch it, but I promise that these names sort of just came together by a happy accident since DH has been the one looking more into girls’ names since I picked the boy’s name. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me, I’m sure some people will comment on it, but I feel like since these names have history, are more ‘classic’, etc. and are not ‘made up’ that it doesn’t necessarily matter?
If someone suggests another middle name that we can fall in love with more than [name]Catherine[/name] then we would be up for it
