So I’m 23 weeks along & I found out I’m having a little boy! I want to name him after my dad who passed but I’m stuck on which name is better. I’m using my dad’s middle name Desimone, which I think is kinda ugly lol. But from that I pulled Deesi (dee-see) & Deese (like [name_u]Reese[/name_u]). I like Deese more but idk about it only being one syllable. So I guess I’m judt looking for votes or even new suggestions pulled from Desimone.
I would prefer [name_u]Desi[/name_u]/[name_m]Des[/name_m] to Deesee/Deese. [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] makes a handsome name (first or middle) and could honor a Desimone. Otherwise, between your two options, it’s hard to weigh in without knowing the first name (and the length of your surname).
I’m so sorry for your loss. Congratulations on your baby boy, though!
I think Deese would be a super cute and handsome middle name. I don’t love it as much as a one syllable first name, but I do think it could work. I like the above poster’s suggestion of [name_m]Des[/name_m], [name_u]Desi[/name_u], or [name_m]Desmond[/name_m]!
Thank you for the suggestions! I meant to add my last name & forgot lol. It’s Winstead. & I like the double E’s better to make it sound more similar to Desimone (pronounced dee-simone) But this name I’m picking will be the baby’s first name.
I agree with @june2013mom [name_m]Des[/name_m] and [name_u]Desi[/name_u] seem more compact and were easier to spell for me. I love the suggestion of [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] too and might add [name_m]Simon[/name_m] or [name_u]Simone[/name_u] to the list - creating an honor name with De sound seem harder but the [name_m]Simon/name_m part of Desimone is perfectly usable
I think Deesi works well with your last name. [name_m]Des[/name_m] or [name_u]Desi[/name_u] would be nice too though are a little further flung from the honor name Desimone. [name_u]Simone[/name_u] would also be a good choice.
