I have a character whose powers involve gemstones. Basically, she can turn things into gemstones, alter preexisting gemstones, and turn gemstones into other things. She can’t create them out of thin air because that’s way OP. She’s also very glamourous, and is everyone’s go-to for fashion advice and/or gossip. What I’m stuck on is a name. I also need more personality aspects. So, what I’m asking you guys is: Which of the below names should I use, and what kinds of people do the names sound like?
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite of the options is [name_u]Takara[/name_u]! It’s a spunky and feisty name that stands out and feels glamorous as you describe. I also like [name_f]Soraya[/name_f] a lot. What draws me to those most though is that it’s clear you found names with jewel-related meanings but they’re the only ones without a specific gem associated with it. If her power was to turn things into pearls, I’d vote for one of the pearl names, but since she can do any gem, I think it would be cooler if the name is all encompassing.
I think [name_f]Soraya[/name_f] fits the character description best of those you’ve listed - mysterious, ethereal and somehow both old-world and modern.
