[name]Hi[/name] there.
Im trying to find a great middle name for [name]Harper[/name], we originally had [name]Harper[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] on our list but having second thoughts and also got some good feedback from nameberry actually that made us think otherwise
So looking for some other options, its a bit long but here is our list of names we like, some probably are more suited for a first name cause this has other first name options too, have already edited the ones that we definetly think wouldn’t work from our original list, mainly just the strong unisex ones, don’t want too unisex along with unisex [name]Harper[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Livia[/name], [name]Harper[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] [name]Jade[/name] are your best bets. I don’t think [name]Harper[/name] flows well with another two syllable name.
Thanks leonielee, happy you said [name]Harper[/name] [name]Maeve[/name], been trying to use that actually was tossing up between [name]Harper[/name] as the first name or something else.
Our surname is actually one syllable and 4 letters, so thats why i was maybe going to do a longer middle name
I had [name]Harper[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name] on my list for the longest time.
From your list, I like…
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Ainsley[/name] - A bit more unisex than I usually like, but cute!
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] - A rather literary choice!
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Jade[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Lily[/name]
Notes:
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Ella[/name] is cute but way, way too close to [name]Barbarella[/name].
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Sadie[/name] - I’d be hesitant about an -er name with [name]Sadie[/name]. It’s really close to [name]Mercedes[/name].
I agree with you-- I think you need something a bit longer and more classically feminine to balance the unisex [name]Harper[/name] with a one syllable surname. Of all your choices, I think [name]Indigo[/name] actually flows the best (I like the ending -oh sound very much), but it’s too unisex. I think you need something soft with lots of vowel sounds. So, what about:
I like [name]Harper[/name] [name]Ainsley[/name] (and I don’t think it’s too matchy) and [name]Harper[/name] [name]Ella[/name]. [name]Harper[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] is also cute.
No problem. I think you need a middle name ending with a vowel, and a feminine one to boot. I like [name]Ainsley[/name] too but it is a bit androgynous. And I’d stay away from [name]Ruby[/name], since [name]Harper[/name] ends with an R. [name]Harper[/name] [name]Sienna[/name] has a great flow!
With a two-syllable first name and a one-syllable last name, I think a three-syllable middle is best for flow. [name]Sienna[/name], [name]India[/name], and [name]Indigo[/name] all work from your list, but I agree with a previous poster that [name]Indigo[/name] is too unisex to pair with another unisex name like [name]Harper[/name]. Between [name]Sienna[/name] and [name]India[/name], I think [name]Sienna[/name] is the best fit.
