I love the name [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] as a first name. Which of the below MN do you prefer.
1-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
(pros: classic and simple and sweet; con: Sienn-a [name_f]Claire[/name_f] almost has the sound of eclair like the dessert)
2-[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
(pro: would be honoring a passed away father in law named [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], and baby’s dad’s fn is also [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]; con: a handful for a mn compared to our other daughter’s name who’s mn is [name_f]Paige[/name_f])
3-[name_f]Marie[/name_f]
(pro: named after my mother’s mn; con: is it dated?)
4-[name_u]Rae[/name_u]
(pro: love the name and short and spunkiness; it is my best friends mn and would it be strange usiung her mn instead of my mother’s?)
For [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]'s mn, I would rate them as follows:
1 [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - this sweet name sounds good with [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], Since we don’t use our mn’s very much in real life, I wouldn’t worry about the “eclair”.
2 [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - this is a beautiful classic name that would honour two family members so it doesn’t matter how long it is compared to your older daughter’s mn.
3 [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - Although I prefer [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is a pretty if predicatable choice.
4 [name_u]Rae[/name_u] - I don’t really like this name too much. [name_f]Paige[/name_f] and [name_u]Rae[/name_u] are similar (Pay and [name_u]Ray[/name_u]).
I prefer [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] for sound, but [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] for meaning. As for [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], I don’t necessarily find it dated, just very common. I would prefer another variant of [name_f]Mary[/name_f], it would feel a little fresher. I like just plaine [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f], or the more uncommon [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]. Also [name_f]Mae[/name_f] can be a short form of [name_f]Mary[/name_f], and it sounds similar to [name_u]Rae[/name_u], so [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] sounds like a win-win situation to me.
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is my favorite. So perfect.
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is my 2nd favorite, even though [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is somewhat of a common filler name, but if it is tied in to family and not just because, then I think it is great. I don’t think [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is dated, and The finished product is very pretty.
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]- this one is just ok to me.
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]- I don’t really like the name [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and I think it sounds a little wired because both names have 3 syllable. I much prefer a 1-2 syllable middle name.
Any of them would work though and overall be a beautiful name. Good luck!
