Which name do you prefer out of these two? [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] would be pronounced mad - u -[name_m]Len[/name_m]
Thank you ![]()
I think I prefer [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] slightly. You might meet a lot of Maddies though.
They are both gorgeous though!
I much prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. I would have assumed that [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] was pronounced Mad-uh-line, but either way its also a pretty name.
I prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], by a long shot.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] because [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is becoming super trendy now. Sounds a bit too “precious” for my taste. I’m starting to hear a lot of “Maddies” out there.
I absolutely adore [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. I feel neutral about [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
I much prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], not just for sound and look but also for the lack of pronunciation problems; with [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], being familiar with [name_m]French[/name_m], I want to say Mahd-len, however then most English people pronunce it like [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] (which I’m not a fan of) and I’m not entirely sure how Mad-e-len would sound, so alltogether this name just confuses me.
Also, I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]!
I prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] over [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], but I prefer [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (with the -line pronunciation) over both. Both names are lovely though.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f], it seems more special, I feel the [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]'s will be very dated in 20 years time (I can see it as the example of a mum name when I’m having kids)
I love [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
I really like both, but I slightly prefer [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
Much prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is pronounced Mad-eh-line. To get the pronunciation you want, it would be spelt [name_f]Madalyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f].
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] for sure.
I prefer [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] when pronounced with the -line ending, but not a fan of -len.
Personally I like [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] best, I have a friend with the nn [name_f]Maddy[/name_f]. Also, I think the name will ‘age well’ with who ever has it.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is nice, but all I think of is ‘[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] + [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]’? Both are pretty, I just like [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] best. Maybe you should make a poll so you can see the overall consensus and you won’t have to read through 4+ pages
I slightly prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] though I like them both, just not the nickname [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]! Its classy and sassy!
Definitely [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. Whenever I hear the name [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], I think of the song and the [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] play [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
