My favourite is [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f],
then [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]
then [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
I’m not a fan of hyphenated names. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-[name_f]May[/name_f] is the name I like least
The three names I chose are more sophisticated & I feel they would age better
I think [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] works best for you! it seems you really like ellie/ella names, so with [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] you get the whole package! you get [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], or even [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-may as a nn! that covers more than half your options!
my second choice is [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] just because i like that name a lot so personal preference here
I like [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] best.
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] is lovely and a bit more familiar than [name_f]Imogen[/name_f].
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is less familiar but still lovely and bright.
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f], then [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f], the [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]. (I think I may be the only one who is not a big fan of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]!) [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] was always one of my favorite name growing up (I named my favorite doll [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]). I love [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] because it does have a lot of nn possibility. [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Lu[/name_f], [name_f]Lula[/name_f], etc. I really like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as well and think it’s a beautiful name. [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] is another wonderful name. Basically you have a lot of good choices!
The one name I would caution again is [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]. [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] was so popular a generation ago, that by the time a new [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] is of age her name will likely feel uncool. The same way [name_f]Linda[/name_f], [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f], etc would have felt to a baby who was born in the 80s. [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] is a great name, but one that had such a strong hay day that at least right now I feel like it harkens back to a specific time (the 1980’s) instead of feeling fresh, modern or timeless. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my opinion, but thought I’d share!
I voted for [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]. It feels more exotic and less overused than the others.
[name_f]May[/name_f] is such a common middle name, and if I had a penny for every [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] out there, I’d be rich! (and sorry, but I think its even worse when its double barrelled)
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] doesn’t feel as though you’re following the crowd and instead just appears as though you’re picking a name you really like
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] is my favorite. I think it sounds sophisticated and could suit any personality for any age, not to mention it rolls right off the tongue. You could always call her [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as a nickname, but if her first name is actually [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] then you can’t do much nickname-wise (aside from calling her [name_f]El[/name_f] I guess). [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] sounds very sweet, but a bit too old-world sounding to me.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] with the one syllable surname beginning with F, if it’s anything too close to [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Flint[/name_m], Fint, Fenn (I think [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] would be fine), then I was finding while reading the different combo options aloud to myself that [name_f]Ella[/name_f]/[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] could end up sounding a bit like “Elephant”. Not a huge issue and unlikely that your surname would be something like “Fint” anyway, but thought I should mention it just in case.
I like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] the best. You seem to like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f] a lot and that name gives you the option to use either while still having a more formal name as well.
ooooooh thank-you so much everyone, think i’m crossing jessica & ellie-may off that list.I’m a bit stuck with middle names if anyone has any suggestions [name_f]May[/name_f] is a passed down middle name & the only other meaningful one i have is [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] best. With a single syllable surname, I’d avoid the single syllable [name_f]May[/name_f] as a middle name. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is a lovely name, but I’m not sure if it flows well with your first name choices.
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] are both wonderful, I really like both of them with [name_f]May[/name_f]. I dislike [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] because it seems dated and way too popular. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-[name_f]May[/name_f] also seems a little off to me.
