My cousin has two daughters - [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Catriona[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. She is expecting her third child (i know the title says sister, but she has the boys name sorted) and has decided that if it’s a boy she will call him [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. However, the prospect of naming a third girl is getting at her and she would value your help as mine ‘useless’!
She has considered;
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] (Ay-lee)
She thinks that [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] would be the best choice as she has used a variation of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s last middle name for [name_f]Anna[/name_f]'s first and she thinks she should carry on that sort of tradition. However, she has loved [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] since she was young. Middle names will probably be [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Mairi[/name_f] for [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]; [name_f]Katie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] for [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and for [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] it will probably be [name_f]Christina[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. Any other suggestions would be welcome. x
I really like both [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]; my personal favourite is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
However, I do think that both [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f]'s middle names are much more exciting and closer to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]'s full names. Has she thought about [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Mairi[/name_f]?
My favorites are [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I personally adore [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f].
My vote goes to [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] Mhairi, as [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Catriona[/name_f] are forms of each other so that connection is still there.
I agree with @lovemysweeties though, it’s rather odd how your entire list matches your cousin’s daughters’ names/potential names.
I like the idea of the middle name to first name thing. I think she should use [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] not only because it fits that idea but also because it’s beautiful and goes really nicely with [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. She could use [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] as a middle name on the odd chance she’d have another girl but if she knows that wouldn’t happen she could just use [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] as a middle.
I have a [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and a [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], so fairly close.
I like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] best on your list. I have considered it for our third daughter. We are going with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Also love [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (my name) have you/she considered [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] as a first name (also a form of [name_f]Catriona[/name_f], so would still fit with your tradition)? Also love [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
Thanks for all the replies. I will relay them to her. Considering that my cousin in nearly 40 and am i only 17, its not that odd that we like the same names as they are family names. It just shows we have similar taste and want to honor family members.
