Which name for the villain?

I got helpful comments on my last post, I thought I’d ask for another opinion and/or suggestions. I’m stuck on a name for the villain of my story - a young man trying to get control of a magical realm for the sake of power.

I have either [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] or [name_m]Zane[/name_m].

Which name do you prefer? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other suggestions? The name doesn’t have to sound “evil” or “villainous” - the character starts out as a normal boy seeking adventure. Since it is a fantasy story, I’m interested in older names, like Old English or historical, or at least unique or different names. Thanks. :slight_smile:

I like [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. The Z adds to the rebel image. Sorry, not very helpful, but I don’t have any other ideas.

When I see [name_m]Zane[/name_m], I think One Direction, which I super don’t like, no matter how it’s spelled.

I think you should choose [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] because it fits the plot, but it could be because I like the girls names Jasperine and Jasperina.
