[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I have narrowed down 2 names for our newly born daughter but cannot decid. Which name do you prefer and why? Her older sister is called Beatrice….
I think Henrietta - both Beatrice and Henrietta have a regal, Brit, and storybook feel. I agree that Juliette (I would go Juliet) is tailored like Beatrice but I think Henrietta matches better stylistically and has better (to me) nickname options.
Edit: I think others have made the helpful point that Juliet(te) makes it more French, polished and “chic”, while Henrietta is more posh English, vintage and clunky cute. They create different images. But they both work! I like the suggestion of Harriet too.
Another vote for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] here, I think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] share a shiny, jewel-like quality!
Having said that, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] are also great together, you can’t go wrong!
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was that [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] would be a great fit if it was in consideration. It’s the perfect midpoint between your two options.
I would group [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] with names like [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] and [name_f]Constance[/name_f]. I would group [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] with names like [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] can work with both styles.
I’m leaning towards [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] overall. [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] is a bit of a mouthful even though I enjoy it’s clunky vintage styling. I prefer the sleeker sound of [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] and I like the way it brings out the elegant side of [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]! It’s got the same regal, sharp feel, sweet nickname potential, grandeur and clunky elegance
