I prefer [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m].
The shortness of [name_m]Ken[/name_m] next to [name_m]Lim[/name_m] and their similar sounds make it very choppy and almost rhymey.
I think [name_m]Ken[/name_m] is an extremely nicknamey first name. I also find it pretty dated, I don’t know any Kens younger than myself (25) and many older. It also reminds me of [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] and [name_m]Ken[/name_m].
[name_m]Jason[/name_m] is a much more substansial, masculine, handsome, and classic/timeless name. And it has nickname options of [name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_m]Jase[/name_m].
I agree with previous poster, [name_m]Ken[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] sound very abrupt and incomplete. [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] flows better. If you like [name_m]Ken[/name_m], try using [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] or [name_u]Kendell[/name_u], they flow better with the one syllable last name, and you could use [name_m]Ken[/name_m] as a nickname.
[name_f]Every[/name_f] time I see [name_m]Ken[/name_m] I end up thinking of [name_f]Barbie[/name_f]. One syllable fn with a one syllable ln doesn’t flow. [name_m]Say[/name_m] it fast and it’s a new smoosh name for boys.
I agree with above and on the previous page the poster who mentioned “[name_m]Kenneth[/name_m].” I think [name_m]Jason[/name_m] opens up a lot more nickname opportunities and [name_m]Ken[/name_m] feels just… plastic. //punny
I like both names, and while I do prefer the name Jason to the name Ken, Ken is a lot more original to me. I know one Ken/Kenny whose full name was actually Kentaro (mom was japanese). He would be about 15 now. And I also met a little “Kenny” at work yesterday, so I do like the name for a child. I also have no problem with the shortness of Ken Lim. Half the world has short syllables like that. Good luck
I prefer [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] since the 1-1 syllable pattern of [name_m]Ken[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] is a little too blunt and abrupt for my taste.
[name_m]Jason[/name_m]! Not only is it far more modern, but it has a better sound with your surname. Two one syllable names together dont work too well
[name_m]Ken[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] is much more masculine, but I prefer [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] wayyy more, for the same reasons already mentioned.
I feel that [name_m]Ken[/name_m] is more masculine than [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. That said, I prefer [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] over [name_m]Ken[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m].
[name_m]Jason[/name_m]. [name_m]Ken[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] sounds too short and abrupt. [name_m]Ken[/name_m] sounds a bit old to me. What about [name_u]Kendall[/name_u], [name_m]Kendrick[/name_m], [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], or even [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m]? [name_m]Jason[/name_m] has some cute nicknames like [name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_m]Jase[/name_m], [name_m]Jon[/name_m], and I have even heard Aso.
I prefer [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m], too. It sounds better to me ([name_m]Ken[/name_m] and [name_m]Lim[/name_m] could sound sort of similar, if you said them fast! I don’t think [name_m]Ken[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] flows very well, either), and I just love [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. I went off of it for a while because everyone complained about its popularity, and I think that bothered me for a while, but I still love it, regardless, and when you remove the popular/dated aspects of it, it’s a great mythological/Biblical name with an appealing sound and some cool nns ([name_u]Jay[/name_u]/JJ, [name_u]Jace[/name_u], maybe even [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]). I think [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] is great.
