Which name is prettier?

Thank you thank you thank you!! All your opinions were VERY helpful! You guys rock!

They’re both equally pretty although I’m pulled more towards [name_f]Callista[/name_f] because i sounds zippy. [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a nice sounding name.

I personally prefer [name_f]Calista[/name_f]! I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] though (sometimes I feel I’m in the minority though!). I just find that it isn’t a pretty name and its difficult to say.
I think of Disney but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There are many names out there that reference Disney and it’s not a terrible reference.

They’re equally pretty, however I slightly prefer [name_f]Calista[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is beautiful, but it does have repetitive “R” sounds, so to me it sounds kind of jumbled when certain people say it. I do think of Disney when I hear it, but that’s not a negative thing!

I also prefer [name_f]Calista[/name_f] (or probably [name_f]Callista[/name_f]) both bc I prefer the nn options of [name_f]Callista[/name_f] and the sound is more appealing to me than [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] with all its Rs.

Both names are on my list (so I obviously love both), but [name_f]Callista[/name_f] ranks higher. It has a lovely sound, it means the most beautiful, it’s still pretty unique though sounds quite familiar and in general I’m a sucker for [name_f]Callie[/name_f] names.

No, both weird at all to use both. I think of both the disney princess and aurora borealis, so two awesome connections.

Both are quite pretty, but I prefer [name_f]Calista[/name_f]'s look and feel.

I like both of them, though I prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. While I do think of both the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Borealis and Disney, it doesn’t deter me. The scientific connection actually makes me love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] more. I think [name_f]Callista[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] would be lovely sisters.

I’d say [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is ‘prettiest’ but I prefer [name_f]Calista[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a mouthful imo and [name_f]Calista[/name_f] feels punchy and cool.

I love the name [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], but something is just sooo beautiful and feminine about [name_f]Calista[/name_f].

I’m falling for [name_f]Calista[/name_f]. It’s a name I discovered only about a year ago, and I think it’s lovely. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is nice, but definitely not one of my favorites. I always think of Sleeping Beauty when I hear or see it, and the Disney movie used to scare the tar out of me when I was little (because of Maleficent), so it resonates negatively with me. If I were to use them together, it would be [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], which I find beautiful.

I like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] best-- [name_f]Calista[/name_f] is nice, but sounds a bit colder or more remote to me. I’m not big into Disney so [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] doesn’t have that connotation for me at all. Both are elegant Greek names to me.

I like both. I think first of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Borealis then of Disney (but really first of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], IL since I grew up near it). I could see using both as names for siblings, but I’d probably pair them with something else for middle names because they have the same number of syllables and stress pattern and the same ending sound.

[name_f]Calista[/name_f] for me!

I think of BOTH Disney and aurora borealis when I see/hear [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a name that looks beautiful when I see it (and the borealis imagery is positive for me, while the princess part is neutral, and would not disuade me), but I just find it a bit difficult to say, and–at least the way I pronounce it–I don’t like how it comes out sounding. I would like it as a middle name to [name_f]Calista[/name_f], though. And though I’ve expressed my (perhaps idiosynchratic) reservations with it, I also agree with a pp that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] would make a really nice sister name to [name_f]Calista[/name_f].

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]? I find that it picks up on all the parts of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] that I like, while being easier to pronounce. And I think you could have a [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] with a sister named [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], if you wanted to be able to hold onto it for the future
