My Mum’s name is [name_f]Karen[/name_f]. I want to honour her in my my middle name.
So far I have come up with [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Cathryn[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Kathryn[/name_f], [name_f]Carin[/name_f]/[name_f]Karin[/name_f], [name_f]Katie[/name_f] or [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. Which one do you prefer? Which name flows best with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]?
I really like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] from your list, and I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] has a sweet, vintage vibe. A few others to consider:
[name_f]Kerensa[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Katia[/name_f]
[name_f]Karina[/name_f]
[name_u]Kieran[/name_u]
[name_f]Caitlin[/name_f]
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f]
Aside from not being currently popular due to its association with a previous generation, [name_f]Karen[/name_f] really has a very pleasant sound to it. I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Karen[/name_f] sounds nice. I believe that [name_f]Karen[/name_f] is a form of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], though, so I would go with that (any “K” spelling) if you prefer not to use [name_f]Karen[/name_f] itself.
You can use any variation of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], not just the traditional, ie [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_f]Caitriona[/name_f], etc. [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] shares many sounds with [name_f]Karen[/name_f], as well. Also, [name_f]Karen[/name_f] means pure, so you could use names with that meaning like [name_f]Candace[/name_f]. You aren’t limited to just variations or shortenings of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].
That being said, of the names you listed I think [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] sounds best and I would go with one of those two spellings. Of some of the other options, I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] sounds pretty cool and it’s unique.
I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] from your list the most, although I prefer the [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] spelling. The K is a great way to honor [name_f]Karen[/name_f].
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is very pretty. What about [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Marin[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Maren[/name_f]? You get a similar sound without using the exact name.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Karen[/name_f] would be the greatest honor. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] feels the least diluted of the other options.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] has the best flow to me. Though I might also suggest [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Carina[/name_f]/[name_f]Karina[/name_f]
I think that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is adorable. I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Karensa[/name_f]!
I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] best of those. I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Kerenza[/name_f] is a great option though.
I think that if I wanted to honour a [name_f]Karen[/name_f], I would probably use the name [name_f]Karen[/name_f] and I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Karen[/name_f] sounds lovely. But if I were to choose from your list I would probably choose [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].
