Which name?

Do you like Amelia or Cordelia better? Obviously if I use one the other is no longer an option because they sound so similar.

Amelia would have either Mila or Millie as a nickname
Cordelia would have Cora as a nickname

I prefer [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]! That’s my niece’s name and her nickname is [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. I think it’s adorable.

Both lovely, and the nicknames are so sweet!
I’d vote for [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], as it’s such a rare gem. (Also, it reminds me of [name_u]Anne[/name_u] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables, since it’s her dream name!)

Cordelia!! [name_u]Strong[/name_u], literary and with a beautiful meaning. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is nice enough but I’ve met so so many

I really love both [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] so it’s hard to choose! I think both are beautiful names and very similar sounding.

Going off of your nicknames, I like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Cora[/name_f] better than the nicknames [name_f]Mila[/name_f] or [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. So my vote goes to [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]!

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]! [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is just a bit clunky to me.

Absolutely love this name she’s enchanting beyond elegant and has the wonderful meaning ‘heart; daughter of the sea’ as someone who loves the sea it pulls at my heartstrings

I much prefer [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. I know so many Amelias that [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] just feels a lot fresher.

amelia, for sure! :cherry_blossom:

I prefer [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but I prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f] as a nickname.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I prefer [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I love love love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. It’s so smart & elegant & kind & classic. And it feels literary & slightly adventurous. It is super popular though, & [name_f]Mila[/name_f] is even more common…or the same amount. [name_f]Mila[/name_f] feels kind of trendy & kind of a stretch. I like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] though. I love [name_f]Mia[/name_f], even though that’s popular too.

That all being said, [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] nice as well. I don’t like it as much, but I do like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] more than the [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] nns. And [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is far less over done.

I may have concluded nothing, but those are my thoughts! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I prefer [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]

I love the soft sounds of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is ripe for a comeback!
