hi berries! lately i’ve been loving them name lowen on a girl or boy but especially for a girl… it doesn’t quite fit with my usual style though… do you think eliza and lowen sound like sisters or are they too different? i also like elowen which seems more of the eliza style but i fear the names are too similar? do you think eliza and elowen would work together? tyia : )
Lowen is definitely more gender neutral than Eliza, I’d probably have assumed it was a masc name without checking so if you’d rather have two more obviously feminine names, I’d go with Elowen or Lowenna
I don’t think Eliza and Elowen are tooo close, Elowen could always be nicknamed Lola too!
i don’t think it could work, sorry! if it was a boy lowen and a girl eliza it would work, but with a name as traditionally feminine as eliza, lowen would always be presumed to be a brother. i agree with the previous poster that eliza and elowen are too close, but i love the suggestion of lowenna!
maybe you’ll like eliza & lena, lainey, lenore, laurel, lucienne, leonie, leona, liadan, linnea or lorelei?
I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] are so beautiful together! I love love love that pair.
I love [name_u]Lowen[/name_u] or [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]! I think either one works fine with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. Realistically people on nameberry tend to care more about cohesive sibsets than people in real life do. I think it’s most important to just use the names you love the most even if they don’t seem to go together well. They will be individuals way more than they’ll be siblings anyway.
I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] sound beautiful together. I too would assume [name_u]Lowen[/name_u] was for a boy when paired with the feminine [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_u]Lowen[/name_u] could work. While [name_u]Lowen[/name_u] is more neutral and rugged, it also has a cosy warmth. While [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is classic and feminine, it’s also spiky and fresh. Somehow that balances them out for me.
Stylistically, [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] do feel more expected, but they feel a bit similar.
[name_u]Lowen[/name_u] does kind of sound like a brother next to [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. While I don’t love the matchy [name_f]El[/name_f]- of [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], I think the rest of the name is different enough to not get them too mixed up so its doable if its The Name.
I like [name_u]Lowen[/name_u] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] ! Names that have contrast are so intriguing to me !
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] feel cohesive but I don’t necessary love the alliteration
I think I love [name_u]Lowen[/name_u] with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
