I prefer [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Keith[/name_m], even though both combos are lovely. [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is a great, classic name with so many namesakes and nickname possibilities ([name_m]Fred[/name_m], [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], [name_m]Fritz[/name_m], [name_m]Rick[/name_m], [name_u]Rickie[/name_u], [name_f]Flick[/name_f]). [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] is also a wonderful a underused Old English name. Old I think [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Keith[/name_m] looks a little better than the combo you suggest.

Thank-you for your reply sugarplumfairy. I’m always going back and forth between these two names, and it’s nice to have some feedback. I love nn’s [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], [name_m]Fritz[/name_m], and [name_u]Red[/name_u] for [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] (don’t like [name_m]Rick[/name_m] at all…do you think that’s a reason not to choose [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]?) For [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], I don’t think I’d use a nn…although I think [name_u]Win[/name_u] is cute. Thanks again!

I absolutely love [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Keith[/name_m], with the nn [name_u]Freddie[/name_u].

[name_f]My[/name_f] great-uncle is [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] “[name_u]Freddie[/name_u]”, so the name has nothing but positive imagery for me, because he’s one of my heroes.

I do like [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], and to be honest, you wouldn’t go wrong with either.

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is very handsome, and I love the sweetness of the nickname [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]. I vote for [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Keith[/name_m].

Thank-you maggiemary! It’s lovely to hear such positive things about [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], and [name_m]Edwin[/name_m]! I obviously couldn’t use both, and it’s so hard to choose between them. Good to know that there’s another [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] fan out there

And thank-you lovemysweeties. [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] definitely has sweetness and charm!

I’d love some more votes!

I prefer [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Keith[/name_m].

I’m surprised that [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is winning by a vast majority. I thought it would be more of an even split.

I prefer [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Keith[/name_m] or [name_m]Keith[/name_m] [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m].

Thanks for your comment hermione_vader. I think you are the first to suggest using [name_m]Keith[/name_m] as anything but a middle name. [name_m]Keith[/name_m] doesn’t get much attention on NB. I like the name a lot (it’s my dad’s first name), but I have trouble picturing it as the first name of my son. It’s something I’d consider though, maybe…
