I love the nickname [name_f]Ally[/name_f] and think it’s such a sweet name for a girl. Which proper name for it do you prefer?
[name_u]Allison[/name_u]/[name_f]Alison[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
I love the nickname [name_f]Ally[/name_f] and think it’s such a sweet name for a girl. Which proper name for it do you prefer?
[name_u]Allison[/name_u]/[name_f]Alison[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] is more chic than [name_u]Allison[/name_u] (double L here). But [name_u]Allison[/name_u] isn’t a bad name (pretty nice, actually).
I would chose [name_f]Alice[/name_f], whoever I wouldn’t give her a nickname, maybe some people will think like me in the future.
Of the three names, I think I’d rank them [name_f]Alison[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], and then [name_u]Allison[/name_u]. I like the sound of [name_f]Alison[/name_f] (despite the fact that [name_u]Allison[/name_u]/[name_f]Alison[/name_f] is a bit dated), and I like that it’s an unexpected [name_f]Alice[/name_f] variant. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] I think is sweet, and the association to [name_f]Alice[/name_f] in Wonderland is lovely, but I can’t get super excited about it personally. I feel like it should be a name I like, but I really can’t get into it. [name_u]Allison[/name_u] I know a couple who I wasn’t super thrilled with, and it feels more dated than [name_f]Alison[/name_f] or [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. If I used [name_f]Ally[/name_f]/[name_u]Allie[/name_u], I’d probably use another name entirely (I like [name_f]Alaia[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], [name_f]Aloisa[/name_f], etc.), but I think [name_f]Alison[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] are really lovely, too.
I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] better, but I prefer [name_f]Alison[/name_f] to [name_u]Allison[/name_u].
Definitely [name_u]Allison[/name_u]!
Here are other suggestions though:
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alina[/name_f]
[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]
Alora
[name_f]Alisa[/name_f]
Pretty much any name that starts with [name_m]Al[/name_m]- could have [name_u]Allie[/name_u]/[name_f]Ally[/name_f] as a nn!
I like both names but I prefer [name_u]Allison[/name_u]/[name_f]Alison[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Ally[/name_f] works better for the name [name_u]Allison[/name_u], but I personally prefer the name [name_f]Alice[/name_f] to [name_u]Allison[/name_u]. Not sure if that helped or made things more confusing.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] for kicks, here are some other names that you could use [name_f]Ally[/name_f] as a nn for:
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Alana[/name_f]
[name_f]Alliyah[/name_f]
[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]
[name_f]Allegra[/name_f]
I prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
Definitely [name_f]Alice[/name_f]! It’s so sweet and classic! I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Alison[/name_f]/[name_u]Allison[/name_u], it seems very dated and trendy to me.
In order
[name_f]Alison[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_u]Allison[/name_u] ([name_u]Allison[/name_u] just looks like a surname to me)
I prefer [name_f]Alison[/name_f] to [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
Here are some other suggestions though:
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]/[name_f]Alexia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f]
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]
[name_f]Alyce[/name_f] (prn the same as [name_f]Elise[/name_f])
[name_f]Allegra[/name_f]
I prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
I much prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
[name_u]Allison[/name_u], [name_f]Alana[/name_f], [name_f]Alissa[/name_f], [name_f]Aliana[/name_f], [name_f]Alena[/name_f], [name_u]Alden[/name_u]…anything beginning with [name_m]Al[/name_m] really!
My favourite “[name_f]Ally[/name_f]” name is [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] (ah-LISS-ee-ah).
But if I had to choose it would be [name_f]Alison[/name_f] (I like one ‘L’), because [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is too conservative for me.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] is the most stylish choice for the moment! I agree that just about any name starting with “al” could work though.
