It’s a toss up between [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] imo. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] to me has a short o sound, [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] has long solid one. I find [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is cute and whimsical, [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] more serious and grown up.

I personally love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] the best. I don’t think it’s bland or uninspiring.

I voted [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] even though I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] just as much. I’ll add [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] for consideration.

I voted [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] but I like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] a lot better.

My favorite [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name is [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] but out of the three i prefer the lovely [name_f]Rose[/name_f] .

I Voted for [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], although i do love both [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] as well, I prefer [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] as a first name as it is longer. As a middle name i prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f] though, like my daughters name [name_u]Skyler[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] But if the first name is short like [name_f]Kate[/name_f] i would prefer [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]

I also like [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. It’s so uncommon as a first name. It’s both strong and romantic, vintage and modern. You can’t go wrong with [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!

I adore [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Johansson’s baby girl’s name: [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]! It’s so spunky and beautiful.

My picks are: 1.) [name_f]Rose[/name_f]; 2.) [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]; 3.) [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. I’m usually not a fan of girls’ names ending in “ie” but that is my quirk.

Other lovely options: [name_f]Rozalia[/name_f] has such a vibrant, Eastern European vibe. It could easily shorten to [name_f]Roza[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is an underused classic.

I prefer the stunning simplicity of [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. But what I really love is nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. I don’t hear the different Os you’re talking about though.
My pronunciations:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - no idea how to write phonetically.
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] - [name_f]ROse[/name_f]-uh
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - [name_f]ROse[/name_f]-uh-[name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] - [name_f]ROse[/name_f]-uh-Mund
[name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] - [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-uh-lynn - only name with short O on this list.

Another option would be [name_f]Primrose[/name_f].

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is never bland!

I like the spunkiness of [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]. (It makes me think of [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_m]Parks[/name_m].)

[name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] is another lovely choice.

I loved all of the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] names, I voted for [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] because it sounds girly and whimsical.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds sophisticated but has grace to it.
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_m]Parks[/name_m], who I picture strong and intelligent, I think of the name the same way.

Others choices are:
[name_f]Rosana[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosette/name_f( as shown above)
[name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
[name_f]Roselle[/name_f]

They are all beautiful, but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my favorite.

Wow thanks so much for all your great feedback everyone! And for the suggestions. I’ll probably end up with more “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” names on my list rather then fewer.

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is a lovely one that I’d sort of forgotten about. It would work to honour my grandmother who is a [name_f]Mary[/name_f], which is a bonus.

I do love the look of [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosette[/name_f] is cute too.

As for the different “o” sounds, it may be my accent, but where I’m from names such as [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] are pronounced with a long “o” sound, such as in “open”, where as [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] has the “o” found in “hot”.

[name_f]Rozalia[/name_f] is one I hadn’t come across before but I really like it! Unfortunately I’m going to have to try to avoid four syllable names as our last name is four syllables as well, and it might just be a bit much.

For those who like [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]- I do as well. It would likely be used as a nickname for whichever [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name we use.

A good thing about [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is that it’s one my husband would likely get on board with, as his naming style is much more conservative than mine. Of the three I’d only floated [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] passed him, but he wasn’t a fan.

I like [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] because it makes [name_f]Rose[/name_f] more interesting but is still really simple and meek. It also makes mn choosing a much easier job.

Classic [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my favorite. So dainty, feminine, and beautiful. : ) The others are a bit overdone, for my taste.
