Which sounds better?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],

So we are tossing up between [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
They are all beautiful with their own pros and cons.

Our last name is Edwards, and we wanted to use middle name [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

What do you think sounds best?

I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] Edwards gives you “[name_f]Bella[/name_f]” and “[name_m]Edward[/name_m]” right there together and immediately makes me think of Twilight. While this association hopefully dies soon, it’s still too fresh for me to like it. While [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] Edwards has better flow, I think [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is the prettier name.

Out of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], I prefer the sleek, feminine [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] to the frillier, girly [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f].

I think that [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] Edwards sounds best. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] looks more substantial than [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] to me and it flows better with Edwards than [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] (the ‘a’ to ‘e’ transition is kind of difficult to say).

I agree with @dovah, it reminds me to Twilight. I voted [name_f]Isabel[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. It’s sleek and streamlined but elegant and regal. It feels rather medieval, like a great lady or queen in a castle. (There was a character named [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] in a medieval novel I loved, which may be why I get that association.)

I actually love [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] the best my husband likes the [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] spelling, I’m trying to convince him that [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] Edwards looks like it meshes together more then [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] Edwards. Thanks for the feedback lovelies

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is so very common. Use [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as the first name.

Thanks for the suggestion, however [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is my mother’s name and my DH’s [name_f]Nanna[/name_f]'s name, so we wish to use it in the middle. We have picked [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] thanks for the feed back.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite spelling of this name is [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], so I pick [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] as it’s the closest!

I much prefer these spellings over the frillier [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabella[/name_f].

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] sounds best to me.

In my opinion, [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] Edwards is the best combo. It removes it from Twilight, and I think the unfussiest spelling looks sleeker and more sophisticated. Good luck :).

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] Edwards

As PP said, [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] Edwards is very closely connected to Twilight and doesn’t flow as well.

This exactly.
