Which Sounds The Nicest?

Here’s our top three names for a boy, which is your favourite? We live in the UK, and, as far as I know, [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is strictly a Team [name_u]Blue[/name_u] name (I know in the US it’s both, as I went to school there).

a) [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] Pitts
b) [name_m]Landon[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] Pitts
c) [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] Pitts

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u], very handsome!

Hmmm, I like the name [name_m]Callum[/name_m] the best, but [name_m]Landon[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] flows better.

thank you! that was my personal favourite but [name_m]Callum[/name_m] was my fiancé’s, and [name_m]Landon[/name_m] was a joint choice, haha! I was meant to be a [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], had I been a boy, so I thought it’d be nice to use it, since my family didn’t get to (there’s only 2 of us, both girls).

It’s refresing to see [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] on a boy for a change. I think it sounds best with Pitts as well. [name_f]Canada[/name_f] had a Prime Minister with this name (full name [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Lyon[/name_m] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] [name_m]King[/name_m] aka [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] [name_m]King[/name_m]) so it’s boyish for me. [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is VERY popular in [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_m]Landon[/name_m] is overused in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u] so I don’t find them very interesting. They also sound strange with your surname as I mishear " Call and Pitts" and “[name_m]Land[/name_m] and Pitts”.

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] sounds the best with your last name. The others seem easy to mishear.

Plus, [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is just a really great name for a boy! I’ve always liked it.

I like [name_m]Callum[/name_m] and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]. I think the 3 syllables of [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] flow better with your 1 syllable surname

I like [name_m]Callum[/name_m] best… I think [name_u]MacKenzie[/name_u] is all girl… I can’t really see it on a boy at all… Ke zie is just too girly…

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is historically a male name. It means “son of Coinneach ([name_m]Kenneth[/name_m])”. [name_m]Mac[/name_m]- means “son of”.

[name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]! [name_f]Mykenzie[/name_f] is all girl to me. I have never heard it on a boy before.

he’d never go by [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u], haha I knew a girl in school named [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] who I loathed, so that’s entirely out (her name was just [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u]). [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] would likely be [name_m]Mack[/name_m], or just [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]. And, really, only the US uses [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] on girls more than boys.

[name_m]Landon[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds the best to me. I’m also from the UK and [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is overused [name_f]IMO[/name_f] and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] always seems on the ‘chavy’ or ‘common’ side from it’s associations. I’m not however relating that last comment to you! [name_m]Landon[/name_m] is masculine and unique.

[name_m]Callum[/name_m] <3 Callum Pitts is adorable.
2nd would be Mackenzie. In the States it not just “sometimes used on girls,” it’s rarely ever used on boys. But It’s cute with the nicknames Mack & Ken.

I actually didn’t know that about [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]! I’ve always known it as a “posh” name for boys, and “chavy” for girls haha. + my fiancé LOVES overused names, most aren’t horrible names, they’re usually quite nice, but used so often, and with me working with children, I’ve learned to quickly hate anything too popular, because you end up saying it a thousand times in a day (lost count of the [name_f]Ava[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Lily[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]'s). I love names that are more unique, as my signature shows! I do think [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] will likely be the name we use though! Thanks for the help!

No worries! I personally think that [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] fulfils what you want and if you love it then go for it! It is by no means a horrible name and your spelling of it helps to keep it on the classier side so I didn’t mean to worry you about that!
Good luck and keep me posted!

Same! …

When I was in junior high I had a teacher who’s husband was named [name_m]Landon[/name_m]. He was super handsome! So I’ve always had a positive connection to that name, lol.

My vote is for [name_m]Landon[/name_m]!

I know one boy named [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], but it seems so girly to me. I vote for [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]

Thank you! haha my fiance+I are very indecisive, so while we’re talking about kids, and starting to try, we want to plan out kids names now  [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] seems to be the winner, and luckily, our families like it as well  [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t worry about it, haha! It’s interesting how [name_f]McKenzie[/name_f]'s more popular, but that seems way too surname-y for me. It’s like [name_f]Mackenna[/name_f]/[name_f]McKenna[/name_f]/[name_f]Makenna[/name_f], [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] looks too made up, [name_f]McKenna[/name_f]'s too much of a surname, but [name_f]Mackenna[/name_f] seems to be more balanced. ([name_f]Love[/name_f] the sound of this name, but could never bring myself to use it).

I totally agree! Love Callum, but again, I’ve never been to the UK before… so your knowledge would be better suited than mine!

“+ my fiancé LOVES overused names, most aren’t horrible names, they’re usually quite nice, but used so often, and with me working with children, I’ve learned to quickly hate anything too popular, because you end up saying it a thousand times in a day (lost count of the Ava’s, Lily’s and Olivia’s).”

And I’ve certainly been there! Husband always goes for the uber-popular names while I’ve worked with more children than him, and I almost can’t stand the names Olivia, Ava, Sophie/Sophia, Isabelle/Isabella anymore. It’s crazy how much they’re used! Good thing the little girls with those names are always so darling; their personality certainly makes up for my “unlike” of their name (well, technically, I like the names just as much as everyone else, but they are just too overdone)!
